105ppg? you gotta be dreamin'

Why?? Haha will be funny if he does now

Very, very unlikely. I'll go record that he will not!

Memphistopheles

You'd have to pay me $100 a week to put Palmer in my team.

No thanks.

I can see that your gut says breakout, just no one else does. If you think thats your point of difference, good luck and good job for being brave and going unique. He could be your smoky if you want.

But imo theres better options. Mid price mids all look good but there wont be many who truly breakout as good as shiels, rocky, redden. Its hard to pick these guys.

So good luck if you go this way but i wouldnt.

Colliwobblers

i have to agree mid pricers being a risk are best in the fwds and backs, i wouldn't want a mid pricer in the mids or rucks, except cadyy but he is basically rookie priced only a few bucks more than coniglio.

But if you get the guy that breaks out you will be the one smiling but good luck picking the one. But for my money it won't be palmer.

Jalapeno

Yeah but i do see exactly where you guys are coming from because 90% of gut feelings are completely wrong haha ohhh i wanna back myself with this but just cant seem to bring myself to do it :(

What do you guys think the reasons for his good preseason form is then?? In no way an indicator of what to come?

maddhawker

I agree its going to b a breakout year for palmer! 100+ average or close to it

Colliwobblers

masten also has great preseason form, they may break out they may not, palmers chances are slimmer as he is in a new team that has never played together before and that willl be regularly smashed, not be competative as they have been in nab cup.

Just keep in mind ALL the GCS players that went there last year including GAJ went backwards in average over the year not forwards.

Thanks for that mate i did not know that was the case at GCS last season.... mmmm well i think i have been talked off of the palmer train ( even tho it was a one person train ride anyways) hahaha

Colliwobblers

no problem for what its worth freako in the prospectus gives him a slight wrap, reckons he will make a cash cow but not a keeper and is good value and could average 90 again as he has before, either way not a keeper, but don't stop looking for points /players of difference in your team none of us are going to win a car with the exact same cookie cutter teams.

Jalapeno

Thats true... thanks mate mmmm yeah we all need a bit of difference and i think it comes down to pot luck sometimes. Guarantee there is someone who nobody on this site has spoken about all preseason that kills it and becomes a keeper this year.... BUT WHO ARGHHHHH haha :)

Rhys Palmer sucks

At least at the moment.

I remember looking at the afl.com.au highlights package of him once he got transferred to GWS. It was just footage of him handballing or strolling in to an open goal.
