Dangerfield, Porplyzia & Kerridge (bench). All look good, but wondering if it's too many Crows in the one forward line? Thoughts?

fever

well obv they all share the bye, but i think i'll end up with the same and have no problem with it.

you can try to get kerridge into your mids and a d smith type into your fwd bench.

Swallow12

At least one will be traded out by their bye, so should be fine

Capper

Well dangermouse and porps should be your only 2 left by the byes so as long as you dont have forwards from Lions, GWS, Roos, Eagles or dogs you should be ok

Torpedo10

I reckon 3 is too many, I've gone with 2 GWS in fwds but not sure if I should put 3 in fwds.  :-\

Going with the same setup. Though worried about the vest for kerridge at the moment.

Thanks for the input people. Starting to warm to the idea - though will monitor them all next week as well of course.

Just think that Danger is set to spend more time in mids under new coach who was influential at Cats for GAJ & therefore a huge chance to breakout and become a premium fwd and ave apx. 95-100 ppg (thats a prem fwd in my books) - therefore he would have been an underpricer premium by seasons end. Porps is too cheap & performing too well to ignore and Kerridge looks the goods and seems to be liked by the coaching staff who are giving him every chance to impress/push his claims for a Rd.1 berth during the NAB.

Couple all that with the Crows' favourable early draw and they are hard to go past - esp. if Kerridge (at least) will be gone by the bye.

Yeah, good point - may look to off-load Kerridge for someone else - maybe Tory Dickson from the Dogs, but that doesn't solve my bye issue &, who knows, he might be just as likely to get the vest! God I hate the vest! Stupid AFL.

What about Tom Couch from the Dees? Any chance for an elevation/game time?

jasonweare

Couch could well be elevated if magner isn't ready to go. Elevations are usually announced before round 1.

In answer to the title question. ..Yes...or more precisely one too many Dangerfields.

Ahh, a dissenting opinion! Excellent! Reasons why you're a no to Dangerfield?

12 of his scores last year were in the 70s or less...only 4 over 100pts...not enough for me...the year before he scored only the one tonne.
Porplezia represents good value. Kerridge is shaping as a good rookie pick.

True, but isn't that the point of a break-out year? Their previous year is average, then they increase their scoring due to either natural improvement/maturation or a change in role/position on the field, or a combination of both... Surely if Dangerfield plays 80-90% of game time in the midfield his scoring should increase dramatically..? Honestly, I'm not sure, but that's what I'm thinking/hopeing will happen - looking to save a bit of money. If I had it to spare, I would upgrade him to Pav, but due to team balance I can't afford to... I suppose it's a case of "you've gotta risk it for the biscuit"!
