While there is no denying that L. Brown is a bit of a Spud, I thought I'd drag this old thread up to give a little credit where credit is due. A couple of great games in a row, kicking goals on the run, and from set shots, left and right boots. Well done to Big Bad Leroy Brown. Please keep it up big fella.

Leigh Brown is a very valuable player to Collingwood. Plugs up holes nicely - he is like an emergency that actually plays the whole match.

I prefer him to big Setanta ;).

He does have a large downside to his game but at his peak, he is a quality forward. The fact he can play around the ground only makes it better for him. The game he played on Saturday was one of his best games in the last couple years.

I prefer him over Josh Fraser by a long shot and if he keeps his form up, I doubt Fraser will see his 200th game this season.

I agree 8-6. Hard to see Fraser getting back in whilst Brown is playing well. Brown also competes at ground level a little better than Josh.

Spuds are not supposed to crack the ton. Just had a quick look, and it is his 6th time he has got over 100. Barely a spud at all. lol.

Spud in fantasy footy yes, but decent(not great) player in real life. He doesn't really excel in any one position but I guess thats the good thing about him you can move him around.
