Why play him in the mids when you can have him in your forwards scoring like a midfielder.
It would be like having Goddard or Scotland in your midfield.

Nothing wrong with starting fyfe or any other dpp in your mids, just know you will want to move them out of the mids as you upgrade to mid ONLY elites as the mid only elites will outscore the dpp fwd & def mids, so you want to plan for Fyfe to be moved into your fwd line at some point as you upgrade rooks to elite mids, dpp trade rules make this an even easier thingto do this season.

I think if you run out of money it is better to play a goodes/fyfe in your midfield rather than a mid priced midfielder you are likely to not keep. at least with fyfe you know you wont be trading him just moving him.

just think of him as a fwd hanging out in your midfield until you upgrade enough rooks to midfielders  ;)

LF

Well then I reckon your going to have to ask yourself how bad do you want Fyfe?
I really think you need to consider dropping someone else out of your forwards and put Fyfe in then maybe upgrade later to the player you swapped him with.
I personally don't like playing dpp players in my mids with the exception of a dpp benchie for subbing between positions because to me it's like having extra mids but they are in my forwards or backs.

well ive got tom couch and devon smith who i can upgrade when i swap fyfe in forwards colliwobblers

yeah it will work im not doing it because i have just enough money for 3 elite midfielders to start and i dont have 3 fwds i consider worth having above fyfe (Buddy - Martin) they are my locks fyfe 3rd and sidebootom 4th dangerfield 5th.

when its time to upgrade / downgrade rooks you just switch fyfe with the fwd rook (smith/pfieffer/couch ect ect) that you upgrade to an elite mid.

If however you have a full fwd line and can fit fyfe in your mids, i would consider as luvsfooty says changing another fwd into fyfe and adding an extra elite mid from the start how many do you have? or is it becasue you can only afford fyfe for a 4th mid to start with. posting your team would help :)

I wouldn't want to play Fyfe in my mids. Definitely find room for him in the forwards.

Also you can't really call him a proven gun after just 1 good year of dream team. Proven means they have had more than 1 good season in a row. Otherwise you could call Bernie Vince a proven gun after topping 100 avg in a season ;)

Goodes out Fyfe in upgrade to Goodes later
Goodes is always a great upgrade target due to his slower starts to the season

+1 Goodes makes a goodes upgrade target he always finished the season better than he starts it.

You will need to use the cash in the bank plus goodies money for an elite mid if you go that way.

Good looking team tho nice work

Go for it mate leave him in your midfield if that's what u want to do. After the bye round replace him in the mids with a super premo and switch him into your forward line. No1 knows at this stage what the best strat is. If we did we would all be driving FJ Cruisers.
