round 11

just started looking at round 11 byes cause basically all of my prems are round 12 or 13. tbh i cant think of any backs that will be top 10 defenders, a couple that may be top 10 mids, 1 ruckman and maybe another and no forwards. how are people working around this?

atm my thinking is
Defenders: johncock, adcock, hanley, Hurn, murphy ( none are looking lke top 10 by seasons end)
midfielders: Rocky, Thompson, swallow, priddas, boyd  ( no issues in mids)
rucks: Cox, Goldy, Jacobs, Luey, Hmac, minson ( no issues there)
Forwards: Danger, Harvey, Kennedy, Higgins ( no real keepers there unless danger and missy step up)

so what to do with forward and backs?

Murphy as a defender won't be too bad.
Brown in the forwards?

but will murh avg 95? and really havemuch confidence in brown.

Im tempted just to upgrade where i can, downgrade my rookies when there ripe and save cash from them then upgrading to the rest of my prens with the money saved and upgrading two a week from round 13 onwards?

Round 11 bye teams are without a doubt the worst for keepers. You're kidding yourself if you think a round 11 backman or forward will be top 7 at the end of the season.

Here's my opinion on the keepers:

Top 7 round 11 backs: None
Top 6 round 11 mids: 5 possible. In order of likeliness: Rockliff, Boyd, Priddis, Swallow, Thompson.
Top 2 round 11 rucks: 1 definite (Cox) Leuenberger is not there yet and Goldstein will suffer with HMac back.
Top 7 round 11 forwards: None

Lake/Hargrave and Porplyzia are good value round 11 options and should score better than rookies but will need to be upgraded eventually.

Only 7 defenders even did average over 95.
13 over 90.
Murph should get 85-90, while it isn't the best, it's still a solid score for a defender, let alone a round-11-bye-player

personally i think adcock should be in the top 10 def but i have nothing in the fwds

suppose its the only bye rd i can fill a full team with no 0s

mmm i reckon i might just stay with picking the best players avaliable and not picking my team based on byes then deal with byes wgen they come round. and kets face it a lot of peoples bye strategies will come undone due to the byes being rounds 11,12 & 13. a lot can happen in 10 weeks!!!
