So I've been thinking a lot about the way Freo have played in the past and the way that Ross Lyon will have them playing this year. St Kilda have traditionally been unbelievably slutty when it comes to backline points. Gilbert, Fisher, Goddard and to a lesser extent Gram have continually smashed out solid scores.
With Broughton, Duffield and even Suban being proven SC scorers in the past, what are peoples thoughts on getting on these guys?

i think some freo players roles will be changed slightly. some will drop in aveppg, some will rise. just depends on who lyon wants to do what.

I think broughton will go into mids and duffield will play a gram like role, Suban a Goddard like role.

IMO broughton is the only one worth looking at

But who will be the back six and what roles will they play? There's Dawson, Duffeild, McPhee, Suban, Broughton, Silvagni, Grover, McPharlin and maybe Neale or Spurr. Any Freo fans have any thoughts on this?

Break it into who might play midfield and who might play the Goddard/Scotland role.

This eliminates Dawson, McPharlin, Silvagni, McPhee, Grover and I very much doubt neale and spur will get close.

This leaves Suban, Broughton and Duffield. Broughton is probably in front of the others to play midfield. Suban and Duff are to fight it out for the Goddard role.

yeah i agree, they have a lot of backs when you look at that. fact is, it could be either of those 3.
i think personally that suban and broughton will rotate between the lock down roles as duffield doesn't have a defensive bone in his body
