I'd have to say Swan's consistency puts him right up there and he has been a proven vote getter in the past. Only see a 4 week purple patch from Didak affecting his votes. But I still think he will win.
Not sure about the hype on Goodes, he is a gun but hasn't had a brownlow year in my opinion. I'd put O'keefe ahead of him despite the slow start.
Ablett came out of the blocks, but with a few missed games and a recent form lull, I think he may fall short again. I think Judd is in a similar boat; will go close but maybe not enough.
I think too many Saints players will share votes, Roo, NDS, Montags, Hayes, Goddard etc. During the night a few of these may look the winner but not get the medal.
No one from the Dogs has been really outstanding; has been a shared load there. Same with Adelaide.
I'll be interested to see how Mitch Clark polls late and Simon Black will probably pop up and surprise again as usual.
No team outside the 8 could possibly have the brownlow medallsit in my opinion.

Thoughts?

Swan for me - he usually polls well + he has recieved much more media attention this year with the tatts and all. Goodes gets a vote just by walking onto the field, so he will be high up. Montagna is the best chance from the Saints I reckon, he runs and carries the ball - something the umps notice. Ablett missed too many games IMO, Selwood might be the Cats best chance.

CFC 1979

J Selwood is a big chance.

Also watch J Browns votes. When he dominates a game he gets 3. He may have 7 BOG so far this year

yeh, jb could get up there, black for some reason does so well every year but wont win.

I think its going to be out of Swan or Montagna. I reckon Swan might just win because as you said all the Saints will be taking votes off each other as will the Cats players. Ablett will still be up there but imo he's missed to many games to win it.

Interested to see how T.Edwards will vote up to Rnd 14/15 as he was 150/1 when i put $10 on down the local. (Beer Bet).

Reckon Swan deserves the reward after an awesome year.

I'm hoping Swan but the umpires just love Cameron Cloke, he is going to be hard to knock off.

I hear that big Setant loves him too!

What's your Brownlow tipping form like, m0nty? Mine is woeful, and I do like the look of Montags and Swan. That's prolly put the Moz on both of 'em!

My best Brownlow tip was picking a 2003 three way tie on 21 votes between Buckley, Ricciuto and Voss - and it ended up being a three way tie between Buckley, Ricciuto and Goodes.

But every other year is woeful lol

Last year I picked Bartel to go back to back. Thought he was as good as the previous year and the Cats won 21 games. He got 10 votes.
Year before I picked Bartel and he had Charlie in the bag by R20.
Also picked Judd, Akermanis and Crawf so I haven't done too badly.
Also pick Crawf the year of the 3 way tie and he missed by 2 votes.

I've tipped every chas brownlow trophy since '99... This year is tough but I reckon Goodes or maybe Swan/Hayes will win. I sort of hope that Goodes doesn't win because as good as he is I don't think he should be put in the '3 brownlows club' I mean Ian Stewart, Bob Skilton, Reynolds (from what I hear) are better players than him, although it would be nice for and an indigenous player to be in that group... I think Swan is my favorite, then Goodes then Hayes...

Your form is hot everywhere Alex!

Swan then  - what are the bookies offering?
