Hmac & Giles

Am i being completely ridiculous thinking of going Hmac and Giles as my starting rucks combo? I know its very risky as there is a great unknown how both will go this year. Surely they can both avg 80-85 by seasons end, or atleast half way thru so i can upgrade 1. They would hopefully not score any less than 160-170 a wk, compared to some other combos of 180-190 and the money freed up makes the team look very strong!

I have Mummy and Giles atm but just gonna watch Hmac very carefully this week and watch how Scott plays Goldy.

This is a very smart move. I had this for a while then changed to have Mummy-Giles, looked at going back but I have nowhere to spend that extra 200k! That and I really like Mummy's chances of topping the 100 average.

Giles might ave 75. Wont hit 80. Saying that he's in my team.

I think people are getting are getting ahead of themselves with the rucks.

Teams look great with Giles at 2.

I did make this post a while ago... to see if i sounded crazy .. and the poll said I was.

but I'm still doing it, it saves 200k and costs you 15-20 ppg, but the 200k will gain you 25-30

There is a fine line between bargain and stingy. If you go Hmac and Giles imo you fall under the stingy category I feel :(

but LE what happens if the 180k gives u Hargraves in DEF and Devon Smith in MIDS instead of Webberley and Tom Mitchell?

Hargraves + Smith + Hmac maybe = 250 points?

Webberley + Mitchell(he'd be on my bench though) + Mummy maybe = 230 points?

Sure mate but WHAT IF Cox, Sandi, McEvoy, Jacobs, Leu and Mummy all come out and average 110+ and you are stuck with two non-premiums in the ruck all year. I would want AT LEAST one premium ruckmen but that's just me :)

If that money saved having Hmac and Giles at 1 and 2 can give you 5 Premo mids instead of 4 then i think it can work. I honestly don't see many ruck averages over 100 this year. Maybe 2 or 3. Goldstien was awesome and he couldn't even crack 100.
