He tore it up against Collingwood tonight.

87 in a Nab Cup game, he did not tear up.

i think he meant he actually played well putting DT aside, plus if he can average 85-95 this year i'm happy with that for his price.

he is locked into my team...

A new coach, improving team, kind draw and natural improvement has Dangermouse tentatively in my team.

Yeah he stunk it up all day. Had a couple of holding the balls against him and then he struggled to get near it.

Colliwobblers

was count chritos first game of the season so a bit of mercy needs to go his way he is a very talented kid, BUT can you still pick him over dangerfield? not me....

All dangerfield needs to do is run through the middle and recieve uncontested possessions and he will be a premium FWD, the difference between him and the premium mid/fwds is nothing in contested possessions it is all in the uncontested possessions which dangerfield just doesnt get.

Look at the stats with him scoring close to tons 2 in a row and he is still not getting many uncontested possessions, so imagine what he can score when he sorts that part of his game out.

Slap

The only place i'd consider Dangerfield would be in the FWD's.  Sure he hasn't pulled his weight and reputation as a DT midfielder in the past....

... but he is a forward and looking good.  A modest increase in his average doesn't seem such a stupid idea.  That would place him in a position within the FWDs.  The only problem being that there are plenty 'mid price breakout candidates' in the FWDS this year.

for sure, has real potential to show what he is really made of.

locked.

2009 was his break out year, 2010 was also his break out year, 2011 was again his break out year and now 2012. No faith in him at all.

Come off it mate. 19yo, 20 and 21yo... He was still a kid developing. Turns 22yo next month, it's the time a player can start properly breaking out. He's still young but he's the right age to have a proper break out year this year. You can't expect a player to dominate too much when he's only 19 (2009)

This is the year of the dangerfield. It's a danger to not start Dangerfield.

I completely agree. A lot of players breakout around their 4th or 5th season.

Dangerfield is in season 5 and is looking the goods. He's getting more midfield time and I think his coach will give him a licence to run in the midfield more this season. Looks like 2012 will be his breakout season.

In SC I've got both Porpoise & Dangermouse as F5 & F6. In DT I've only been able to fit in Porpoise at this stage. Dangermouse is on the shortlist.

Looking primed for breakout season IMO. Currently in my side and  will be closely watching the Nab final to see how he goes

Hoping for a 85-90 average and possibly keeper. Got him in at #5.
