Who is in your team out of Brandon Ellis or Steven Morris? Having a tough time choosing between these two players. I started out going with Ellis, however now having second thoughts!
Thanks in advanced!

Ellis looks to be a must in your backline

Morris is 50/50

I wish i could help, but this one has been giving me nightmares since teams opened. I  have Morris atm but ..............?

underdog11

you should of made an option of both and neither  ;)

Well Ellis has been entrusted with the kickout duties for Richmond this year (according to an article on afl.com.au)

That would mean logistically he would have to play the majority of Richmond's games

Ellis.

Although mature age is seemingly in vogue with most teams, what have we learned about recent mature age recruits at Punt Rd?
My case in point - Jeromey Webberley. 17 games in 2 seasons after being plucked from that very fertile breeding ground that is The Clarence Football Club in Tassie. Will Morris suffer the same fate? Will Hardwick use Morris in the midst of the season to run through the hardness of winter while the younger recruit Ellis TOG is managed with 'future' in mind.

If this happens, we start with Ellis, cash him out for Morris, then upgrade a mid pricer to a premium.

Roost, when u say "managed with "future in mind", do u mean less game time now.(more in future) or Hardwick will use Ellis more now  this year because of the future. I.m not quite sure where that leaves Morris

What I mean Dudge is that the young legs of any new recruit (regardless of the strength of their pre season) will always find it tough to run the miles of senior AFL, let alone have the gut run ability to push through the heavier grounds of June, July and early August.
A mature recruit (ala Morris/Webberley) has that strength, to do the hard yards (a grunt soldier) but your young recruit needs to be held back a little, paced and then get the whip out for the home stretch. Once the newbie (ala Ellis) has had a seasoning of experience, he learns how to run out the games at the right pace and has been conditioned better for the long haul.
The duty given to Ellis of kick-ins is very similar to what Port gave Pittard was it? last season accelerating his understanding ahead of what surely must be a plan to turn him into a Joel Bowden type player of the future.

I'm sure this exact thread happened a few days ago.

I support Clarence!  Saw JRoo kicked an epic torp in a semi-final against bitter rivals Glenorchy the year before we picked him up at the Tigers.  There were four of us Clarence supporters in a crowd of Glenorchy fans, and we gave it to them.  It's a wonder we didn't get punched, haha.  Good times.

Webbers posted good numbers in terms of DT in VFL. 96 a game in fact.

But he was playing on a wing for a reason.....All the Tigers guns missing from the game contributed to that.

Seagulls, Seagulls thats our name, were the boys that play the game.........AAhh its so hard to give it to the Clarence and Glenorchy boys when your team has folded........Sandy Bay Football Club
