any help appreciated

Murphy for mine.
Hard choice between the two though because Boyd can kill it no doubt...got on a great roll last year...ineffective disposal can see him being less consistent...so Murphy.

Murphy. As Boyd has a week off in the round 11 first bye round, hes a good player to upgrade to from a rookie who has his bye in round 12, like james magner.

I'm going to start with Boyd this year and bring Murphy in later. With him in your midfield, depending on if you make any trades, you will only have 1 premium mid out in each bye round (Boyd round 11, Swan round 12 & Ablett round 13)

yep keep the byes in back of mind. well we haven't seen as much of murphs as we have boyd so far in the NAB.
but don't worry about that murphs will go boom when the season gets going. but i'm all for picking the players in form and look at price 2nd atm. so its Boyd for mine as he appears to be in ripping form.

I think you'll be making trades before Rd 11 my friend.

If you don't you'll fall behind the pack. Upgrading during Rd's 5-10 is the key ;)

Yes, I am aware of how and when to make trades lol.

My point is more to do with just keeping those rounds in mind

EDIT: Although having said that there doesn't seem to be many decent premium mids that share the bye with Ablett and Murphy, so might not be a big factor. I'd still go Boyd though!

My Chumps

Murphy probably, but I like Selwood more than both...

I'd go Murphy for SC, he's a much better user of the ball. VS have increased the penalty for clanger kicks from -4 to -8 which is one thing to weary about in these lineball calls.

If you go Murphy and have GAJ then theres your rnd 13 2 player mid byes so you wont be able to trade in a carl, hawks or saints mid till after rnd 13 if your thinking of them, Boyd is a lock being rnd 11 bye and gives you the window for other mids in either of the bye rounds to give you the 2 player bye scenerio  ;-)

boyd. dominated nab cup

4INAROW

selwood infront of both by a mile, still improving, top 4 team, captaincy will lift him a touch too.

I reckon ya can't go wrong with any two of these guys... there won't be too much splitting them come season's end imo
