You missed his 96.8 season average from 2009... Having said that, I do get where you're coming from - getting on in years & only ever been a prolific scorer in that one season in 2009. Who knows for sure I guess! :)

Stats aren't everything, it's amazing a feel you get for a player watching them and the role they play

Malcheski  had one good yr, then did you got on him in 2010? if you are too careful you will miss out on the gems as you will always find a reason not too pick them

Look for the reasons too pick them and hargrave has many

im not questioning his age i have a few past 30 in my team what i am quetioning is since supercoach started he has only had one good year that was three years ago.  and if you wanna talk about his role, what role will he play now with williams down?

I don't get the hype either. Some are being sucked in by ramblings of others I think...the stats don't lie. I've never had him and it's going to stay that way I feel.

i don't think he'll set the world on fire but could be a decent pick. i wouldn't dismisss we'll see what happens over the next few weeks when teams piece a stronger outfit together and then see how he goes. he is ahead of lake for mine atm

My apologies - completely misread what you had written. Anyway, as I mentioned, I agree with what you're getting at - don't think I'll be having him in my Rd. 1 team.

i tihnk if you look at the role he is going to be playing compared with those other seasons where gilbee had the half back sweeping role. That is why people are intersted in him, gilbee has fallen out of favour and somebody has to fill that role, in 2009 hargraves best season gilbee had one of his worse seasons since 2005, count last year out as hargraves  was injured, he could be a value pick for sure. im gonna take the risk, egg on my face or get a reward who knows, that why we play this game :P gotta love t
