Cameron Guthrie anyone? Geelong have give him Gary's old number 29 so they must think he's handy, plus was emergency in the grand final last year so they do rate him. With yet another preseason he must be looking good and at 180,000 could be a steal.
Will he be in their best 22 though, has been killing it in the NAB too.
Thoughts everyone?

Thunder score final 8 points to rally past Mavs.

You shot 4-11 1-6 from 3 point range, 7/7 free throws, 2 rebounds and 4 assists for 16 points in 34 minutes.

Why aren't you in starting 5?

Oh and yes...

Guthrie is in my team.

Because JH13 scores MUCH better off the bench, strange but true.

You'd expect both Guthrie and Hogan to get good minutes but $180,000 seems a bit pricey.  If you think his upside is much better than that of a cheap rook then go ahead.  I'll probably be steering clear however.

When do you receive your 6th man of the year trophy, James?

a a geekong supporter was good watching him mark over ablett the other night. but not for me atm. cant see him being cemented in our 22 and at 180k you would want someone who will play every game. for just 10k more you can coniglio who you know will play every game. if you think cam can score more than him  and play alot of games then pick him but you will be hoping for an average  of 80+ for him to pay off for ya.

No one can replace the great man.

I'm starting to think Guthrie may be better value than Marty Clarke who is similarly priced.

Hogan is shaping up as a reasonably cheap mid as well.

IMO they are probably better value than the highest priced GWS recruits (e.g. Buntine & Coniglio)

I agree. Guthrie will get games and has high wraps. Was reserve for the GF so he's a chance.
