anyone have any info on him re injury/availability for the start of the year? dodgy elbow? or are the eagles just protecting him through the NAB?

i've had him locked in my backline since day one but may need to look elsewhere if he is crocked.

News here in the west is that Waters will be playing this week. was available for selection last week but didnt want to include too many underdone players at once.

cheers froffys

smash it beau

Why not just go cheaper and go with Ryan H?

i think beau is in a different class to hargrave. hargrave has looked the goods in NAB but has been a long time since he dominated the season proper. not to mention his injury proneness (not that beau is a saint either). plus west coast should win a lot of games and have good point scorers generally

I currently have both, but i'm not sold on Waters even if he has a good NAB cup game this week. The 1 good year, DT scoring wise he had was in 2010 when the Eagles were terrible and the ball was inside their defensive 50 A LOT. Can he get as much of the ball down back in a very strong Eagles team?  :-\

The Doggies on the other hand look to have a very DT friendly game this year going on their NAB games. High possesion ALA Hawks. Am tempted to start with both Lake & Hargrave (& maybe Howard too) and watch them junk it up down back 2009/2010 style.

indeed, im also tempted to start lake/hargrave/howard - although it would have been nice to see howard do a bit more last weekend... although i'm convinced that he will be given every chance to prove himself this year.

I'm not too concerned about Howard's last game. The previous game showed me that he is more than capable of playing the old Gilbee role. He was a top 10 pick a couple of years ago, so the Doggies must have seen something there to give up their top pick for him. He will no doubt get every opportunity this year IMHO. I'm more concerned about Hargrave, with Williams going down, he may be required to play 3rd tall...

Is Connors best 22 at the Tiges?
What role will he play? Tiges have quite a few options to play HBF this year + noticed that Connors played deep forward in the NAB cup game last week. Can he kick goals & rack up cheap possies if he's played forward?

I'm considering it.

It's what I wanna know as well.

They way I see it is you don't average 91 dream teams, 24 disposals and 6 marks a game if your a complete dummy.

Dummy off field maybe.  :P

Grannyboy

Waters might be ok he does have a high ceiling but can also go missing a bit. Is he going to be in your best 7 backs at the end of the season? If not don't pick him.
