It’s the news thousands of Toyota AFL Dream Team coaches were rejoicing over on Saturday night; Hamish McIntosh signalled he could be one of the best bargain selections in the ruck this year with a 104-point game.

Playing most of the match against the likes of Shane Mumford, Mark Seaby and Mike Pyke, as well as spending stints as a spare man in defence, McIntosh showed plenty to suggest a rapid rise in his $273,500 price tag isn’t out of the question if he can carry his form into the regular season.

Running out of the back-line and through the midfield, Shaun Atley’s 19 disposals netted him a respectable 65 Dream Team points - well up on his 2011 average of 48.4. The youngster was regarded as one of North Melbourne's best on the night.

New captain Andrew Swallow almost joined Hamish McIntosh in cracking the century. His 98 point contribution is even more impressive when you consider he laid just three tackles. In 2011 an average of 6.5 tackles a game boosted his scores significantly, but more points from other categories could vault him into the top category of midfielders.

Another who’s attracted plenty of interest from coaches has been rookie Sam Gibson and his impact in the third term gave reason for optimism as a selector. He racked up seven possessions in the premiership quarter and despite a quieter final term as Sydney took control, finished with 28 points. At only $85,800 he should be in your team regardless, but with the ability to collect multiple touches in quick time he will be a lock for most coaches.

The following is the complete list of North Melbourne’s Dream Team scores from the clash against Sydney.
