Quite the popular 3. They seem like keepers but how is everyone going to get around them with the bye?

i currently have them in my team. Anyone know a good compromise?

Windigo

Your gunna get a donut somewhere.

Make the best team you can and just deal with it.  :P

I've minimized mine donut intake too 2.

I just thought of getting heppel for birch...but im a hawthorn man, ill be reduced to only Buddy in my team.  :(
means i cant yell at players at the game that are specifically in my dream team! lol

mezzoculo

Perhaps only start with one premium mid with a round 13 bye. Can then swap god/lids/scotland into mid bench.

Windigo

Yeah, it's tough mate.

If you want to be successful in DT you have to have no bias with your selections.

Torpedo10

At The moment I have 3 Essendon players in my team and personally I don't think I'm being Bias. I've got Heppell cause he is looking to go 90+ with his avg. Watson cause he was gunning it before he did his hammy. Baguley is 85k and should get Hibberd's spot and is DPP.

Chelskiman

Not only do I have Goddard, Lids and Birch but I also have Scotland, lol.

I think the smart thing to do is go shaw over the hakw defenders if your worried about the bye. I would take him anyway. The reason i dont want to start with 3 from one bye because if a player comes out and kills it early on say a x.ellis or bock i want the space to be able to pick them up.

Saying that i was very lucky the guys i wanted they fit into a 1 2 2 strucutre in the backline

Goddard, Lids, Shaw, Malceski, Hargreave

Eski at 4? You confident he can play major game time? If he does then it's 2010 all over again.  8)

going eski, waters, kennely, maguire in 2010 was the reason i finished so high, im trying to repeat on that. eski looked great in the last nab game. I dont really rate the back premiums i have spent the $$ elsewhere with selwood my 4th mid and 5 premium forward line

Turkies

I've got all those 3, doesn't really matter. You're gonna get a doughnut in the backline at some point anyway. Unfortunately it means you're gonna have to upgrade your other players that have the rd13 bye (e.g Ellis) before rd 13, even if he hasn't peaked (probably will have though). Bigger issue is if there is a good downgrade target with the rd13 bye, you might not be able to get him in.

Just get the best team u can! The first bye is 11 wks into the season... no way can u possibly tell whats gonna happen to ur team leading up to them. Everyone is gonna get 0's just just minimise it but dont suffer ur scores weekly for it
