Thought it would be a useful resource to have all the players competing for senior list spots available in the one place.

Basically the number of potential rookie elevations at a club is tied to both number of veterans and the number of players on the long term injury (LTI) list.

If a club has 2 veterans outside the list they may only elevate a rookie with a LTI, if however a club only has one veteran they may nominate a rookie prior to the season to be elevated.

In the same way if a club has no veterans outside the list it may nominate two rookies to be elevated prior to the start of the season.

A club may also nominate elevated rookies in a similar way if they have a veteran or veterans INSIDE the list. These players are only veterans in the sense that only part of their pay is counted towards the salary cap.
Two veterans inside the list means two open senior list spots and potentially two elevated rookies.

Great work CW :)

What does (inside list) mean? Also, how are there favourites when there is no spot available?

Coad is on GS's rookie list.

Tom Williams will be out for either 8 or 16 weeks depending on the results of the scans.

this could be a little old, things may have changed, but it all looks pretty accurate to me. The author probably picked nicholson over magner before he watched the nabcup games :) the dees need nichoson tho so he should get promoted right up, but its easy for them they have 3 to promote.

As far as how it all works, it is pretty well laid out at teh top of the article list.

The only question now is when are we going to see the promotions so we can lock magner and several others like pfieffer into our teams :)

oh see it , thanks Colliwobblers.

Great work CW :)

What does (inside list) mean?

Inside list means they are a part of the 38 senior listed players clubs are allowed to (and must) have. Clubs are allowed to have 2 veterans outside this list if they want to.

Since Richmond have Newman as a veteran inside the list of 38, they have filled the required amount (38) of senior listed players, but they can move him outside the 38, and upgrade a rookie onto the main list of 38.

The Bomber

this may sound like a stupid question but if a player is on a rookie list, are they limited to the number of games they are allowed to play each season??? what are the restrictions of a rookie???
