my friend got me into dreamteam at the end of last year and he helped me out with my team a fair bit this year but he is not the best at it and most of the stuff he told me he said he got it from fanfooty so i thought i might get some help on here too

well here is my team

Backs: H Scotland, C Enright, B Goddard, H Shaw, T Bugg, L Spurr, S Morris <M Clarke, B Ellis>

Midfield: D Swan, G Ablett, B Deledio, M Barlow, D Smith, J Magner <J Growden, D Shiel>

Rucks: A Sandilands, B Mcevoy <J Giles, O Stephensen>

Forwards: S Johnson, L Franklin, A Goodes, P Dangerfield, I Callinan, N Wilson, D Zorko <T Dickson, C Papertalk>

Cash Left: $266,400

i am not sure about barlow though im still trying to decide between him, sloane and van berlo

I'm no expert but...

Backs seems fine for now...I don't know anything about spurr

I wouldn't have deledio in the midfield at all...either in your back line now or as an upgrade later on. You have heaps of cash so would replace him with J selwood, Boyd, rockliff or whoever. I'm also not sure about Barlow so can't help you there...personally deciding between shuey and sloane.

You only have 3 forward "premiums" and need at least one more. I'd get rid of Callinan for Pavlich, Robinson, Martin etc. Haven't heard of your foward rookies except zorko...they may need replacing. Also, I think Johnson is overpriced but that might just be me...

I've only heard Papertalk on Dickson.

Mr.Craig

The midfield is where you get the most value from a team so as Sleeken noted you should move Deledio to your backline. After suffering an injury he could be a slow starter anyway so might be best to leave him out entirely for now and upgrade to him later in the season. Similar deal with Smith, he is of much more use to you in your forward line. Remove Papertalk who is highly unlikely to get any games this year and slot in Devon.

Darley is going well in the NAB, might be a better option than Spurr in terms of job security and scoring.

I'd suggest downgrading Callinan to a rookie and upgrading Dangerfield to Martin. Stevie J is very expensive and should come down in price during the early rounds, save some cash and go for Chapman, Pav or Fyfe.

Most coaches will tell you it's important to have 4 solid mid premiums. Swan is much the same as Johnson, could well drop 50 or 60 thousand before stabilizing so it might be best to go with Pendles, Rockliff or Boyd to start off with. Selwood is slightly underpriced and would be a safer bet than Barlow due to his injury question marks.

So maybe Ablett, Pendles, Boyd and Selwood...or a slightly cheaper option - Ablett, Rockliff, Thompson, Selwood?

Also keep an eye on mid priced players who could represent good value ie - Lake, Hargrave, Howard, Gilbert, Grimes, Conca in the backs. Sloane, Jack, Ziebell, Hayes, Ebert, Hogan in the mids. HMac, Jacobs, Smith and Kruezer in the rucks and Christensen, Gray, Bate and Butcher in the forwards. I'm not saying these guys are all going to succeed, just a suggestion to keep an eye on them.

I hope that helps a little.
