5 matches on Saturday, with the Essendon/St. Kilda match washed out. Plenty of things to get through!

A full list of NAB cup results are available here, including all of round 1:

And for those who missed out the Fantasy Freako week 1 newsletter, here's a copy:

Given the massive amount of games, will go through my normal categories club-by-club.

Best Cheapie (< $140k)

Hawthorn

Jarrad Boumann (61 points) scored the most points, but not sure if he can crack the Hawks best 22. Thomas Schneider (53 points) similar as a forward option.

Greater Western Sydney

Plenty of Giants in this price range, but only a few impressed. Particlarly Devon Smith (110) putting himself well into contention, while Sam Darley (68) and Josh Bruce (70) were also serviceable.

Sydney

Only midfielder Harry Cunningham (56) stood out for the Swans.

North Melbourne

Surprisingly, Sam Gibson with only 28 points was the best performer.

West Coast

Continued to be impressed by Koby Stevens (77). Blayne Wilson (62) also an option in defense.

Port Adelaide

Young ruck Jarrad Redden (84) could be a good 4th ruck option but with Lobbe and Renouf likely to get most of the ruck duties, might not get much game time. Darren Pfeiffer (74) also a genuine forward/midfield option.

Collingwood

Young defender Peter Yagmoor (40) was the Pies best performed in a disappointing night for Collingwood.

Melbourne

I'd keep an eye out on Melbourne rookies this year, a new coach, a new style. James Magner (89) and Thomas Couch (72) are two great options, particularly Couch who is M/F.

Brisbane

Elliot Yeo (42) again was eye-catching, but not sure if he will score consistently high for the Lions.

Adelaide

Sam Kerridge (58) is a forward/mid MPP, and keep looking at his scores in a largely unknown Adelaide line-up. Josh Jenkins (50) could slip into the 4th ruck.

Best player $140k - $280k

Hawthorn

Defender Kyle Cheney (63 points) was the best performed, has burnt many before, and would like burn people again.

Greater Western Sydney

#2 Draft pick Stephen Coniglio (75) could yet show his big price-tag is worth it.

Sydney

Top scoring was the exciting Lewis Jetta (56) but unlikely to find his way into my team.

North Melbourne

Finally, Hamish McIntosh (104) showed some form, which is definately food for thought.

West Coast

Chris Masten (89) continues to tease. He's lied to me before though.

Port Adelaide

Former Pie John McCarthy (99) could be a great unique if he finds a consistent spot in Port's midfield.

Collingwood

Key position player Lachlan Keeffe (70) did well, but unlikely to find a consistent place in the Pies 22.

Melbourne

Former Crow James Sellar (58) may be a MPP, but he is the most useless kind - ruck/defender.

Brisbane

If Mitch Golby (100) shows form the next 2 weeks, he could well be an option in defense. I doubt it though. Matt Maguire (96) could be back in form also.

Adelaide

The defender/forward option Shaun McKernan (85) is a bit too awkwardly priced for me.

Best Player $280k - $420k

Hawthorn

Plenty of decent scores, but it was a thrashing of the GWS, so take it with a grain of salt. Can veterans Shaun Burgoyne (90 points) and Cameron Bruce (81 points) return to there glory days? Or will the next generation of Ryan Schoenmakers (86), Jack Gunston (80), Shane Savage (93) and Isaac Smith (83) make your team?

Greater Western Sydney

A revitalised Rhys Palmer (77) is tempting, but the Giants will get flogged too many times. While $2m man Tom Scully (39) is yet to impress.

Sydney

Is Craig Bird (82) an option in your midfield? Not for me, doesn't fit my structure. Former golden boy Nick Malceski (79) would be a solid option.

North Melbourne

Forward/midfield Leigh Adams (74) has a lot of potential, and this year could be his break-out. Would need more proof though.

West Coast

The only bigger tease than Chris Masten, is Daniel Kerr (84). If the sub-monster stays away from Andrew Gaff (79), he could be a very attractive option.

Port Adelaide

The ball will likely spend a lot of time in Port's defense, so will Troy Chaplin (79) be an option?

Collingwood

62 points from Ben Reid was the best of the bunch from Collingwood.

Melbourne

I'm a fan of both Colin Garland (108) and Ricky Petterd (75), but can't fit either into  my team.

Brisbane

I like Cheynee Stiller (80) as a unique pick, but think there are better options than James Polkinghorne (84) in the midfield.

Adelaide

Very exciting form from likely future superstar Patrick Dangerfield (127). Could this be his year?

Best Premium (above $420k)

Hawthorn

Not much here, with Luke Hodge (78) the best performed.

Greater Western Sydney

Nobody at GWS is in this price range!

Sydney

Veteran Jude Bolton (106) was outstanding, but it is the veteran part that worries me.

North Melbourne

You couldn't do too much wrong selected new Kangaroo captain Andrew Swallow (98).

West Coast

Dean Cox (80) and Matt Priddis (80) will always score well, Cox is a legend if you can afford him.

Port Adelaide

If Hamish Hartlett (58) is the best of Port Adelaide's premiums, than that says a lot!

Collingwood

Heath Shaw (104), Luke Ball (102) and Dale Thomas (99) lead from the front.

Melbourne

I do not trust Colin Sylvia's (78) consistency, or his temperament.

Brisbane

Two young rising superstars in Tom Rockliff (97) and Jack Redden (92) stole the show, and are both terrific options.

Adelaide

Starting to be a bit of buzz around Rory Sloane (78) these days.

Ossie what the hell are you writing abou?

Dick didn't play.

Did you take into account that thier were tons of subs each game. Swan and Giles scored that in a half of football just to name a few.

I've enjoyed your write ups but this one is way if the mark mate.

I feel like a real douche now mate. I have really enjoyed your write ups and this one too has some very very good points. Just a few minor things that I went over board with.

Thanks for all your work Ossie, it's greatly appreciated.

Sleeken

Just saying, I find these write ups very helpful, so thanks!
