FAO those who picked Shiels/Suckling/Fyfe from Rd 1 last year

What KPIs made you choose them over others?

Also, did you pay attention to early 2011 nab cup games and/or 2010 form, or did you just note the last few nab cup rounds of 2011?

Suckling wasn't that great at rd 1. He was really good at like round 8. That's when I got him.

true his rd1 score was showere but his avg before rd 8 (he missed rd 6 + 7) was 89.5 which is pretty good

trust me mate, it was all pure fluke and luck. i had them all locked most the pre season, then swapped them last minute out because i thought i had found safer options. Hated life since.

I had Fyfe and Suckling.

All the talk was about Suckling last year so I locked him from round 1.
I picked up Fyfe when he scored 72 points in one quarter of a nab cup practice game :P

A couple of friends and I were talking up Fyfe at the end of last season we all toyed with having him but none of us started with him yet he was in all of our teams by round 3. The dreaded sideways trade to a player we'd scoped out last season :/ And one of em also jumped on Sheils before round 3 and sucking after his 133, we thought he was being, in the words of Dennis Commetti 'ambitious' but as it turns out he was right we were wrong and he beat me in the granny by a point. :'( If you can single them out and have the guts to put em in preseason good luck to you!

see to me fyfe was in his 2nd year and although he had a resonable first year picking him last year would be like taking mzungu this year (damn to hell hes not a fwd) and im happy to burn a trade prior to lockout rd3 to jump on someone, the nagging thought of 2nd year players not being consistent will eat away at me - see shiels and sucklings season end slump - fyfe was still a machine though

not valk, valk talked down fyfe all pre-season to keep him on his team. He was like- nO sEConDZ yEArS PLaYA!
