giles starting on the field

I will be starting Giles on the field. He is too promising at the price to just have him sitting on the bench. Take the left over cash and spend it elsewhere.

Hmac on the other hand... he will be the victim of Goldy's talent and youth. He may be a good cash cow, but he won't be a premium ruckman as his game time won't allow him to be. So in saying that why spend the extra $150k+ on a cash cow when you can just get Giles at such a cheap price??

wow there is alot of confidence in Giles, from the sounds of it people are locking him in for a 75+ average. I dont think anyone from GWS should really be locked as a 75+ average, its much safer playing an extra mid rookie because if the one you were planning on starting fails you still have too good options backing them up.

For me the risk is not starting giles its having a really weak ruck bench, with giles and big O on the bench i feel safe to cover injuries and any other problems.

thats why im going Mummy Hmac, i still get the value in Hmac and if any problem comes about i have giles on my bench to save the day. If your going something like Mummy Giles and mummy gets suspended for a few rounds do you really want to rely on your ruck bench?

Have to agree with this allthough I feel that you can also add Redden into the mix ATM on the past performance. Think if West plays what happens to the big O? Same can be said for Redden with Lobbe / Renouf. I currently have Giles & O on the pine.

yeah redden does help the situation, of course there is risk and reward starting giles, I just think the extra 170k in going Hmac over say redden is worth it unless you use the cash to really improve your team.

Giles averaged over 90 dt ppg last year and should convert to 70+ in the afl this year, you have to have him that's for sure. Assuming he plays a lot early you should be able to upgrade pretty quickly so starting him with big O or Derickx or someone like that on the bench shouldn't be too bad an option.

The various ruck combinations thrown round all look strong but very few have the big cox ... are people concerned of the opening price and hoping to upgrade later or just believe the projections and say not good value full stop? IMO WCE do not face a serious ruck combination until round 8. Just posing a question ???
