giles starting on the field

some peoples teams that ive seen have a really good ruckman ie luenburger, mcevoy or cox and then giles as their second and 2 rookies starting on the pine. althought this gives you 250k + elsewhere to spend( usually on mids) and risk having a new rookie starting in the ruck. who was it that said the big men of the game take 5 or so years to fully develop? too many people think gies will be the zac smith of 2012, hmmmmmm....

yeah, and giles has had that time to develop playing at B grade.

it's more than 250k as well. Closer to 400k.

IMO back and forward rookies we have to choose from are going to be ideal substitutes in games as as an effect of this their scores will be hindered.
I am starting Giles on the field as he is less likely to be the victim of the sub rule and IMO will be the biggest cash cow of the year.

Although Giles looked pretty impressive it would be good to see how he goes against a quality ruckman in the lead up to round 1. Apparently he got toweled up by Brogan in the intra-club, I can only imagine what Mummy will do to him in round 1.

ive got h_Mac and giles because hamish will score well enough to be a second ruckmen and atleast hes a 100k cheaper then natiunui

I've had Giles starting on the ground all pre-season (I'm such an indie) backing up Berger.

Mumford & McEvoy for me. Easy. Done. Giles will be a simple downgrade to a rook when I think he has reached max price and then I pocket the $$$ :)

Yeah it is much more like 350-400k. Also Giles isn't some 18 year old kid (who takes 5 years to develop FROM WHEN HE IS DRAFTED) he is a 24 year old NEAFL dominating ruckmen...

Have you watched Giles play? He's got all the bulk he needs he was on ports list for 4-5 years then absolutely dominated the sanfl before playing for gws in the neafl

I'm still tossing up between hmac and giles for ruck 2 spot.

Hmac's 104 on the weekend was nice to see, but didn't really come alive until goldy was subbed. If Goldy gets a lot of game time hmac might be limited to 70-80, which is about the same as I expect from giles.

Maybe there'll be a long term injury to goldy to help me decide. 8)
