I just had a play around and came up with this team.  Not really sure on it as my backs and forwards look a little light, but my mids are very strong I feel.

Backs: Scotland, Goddard, Deledio, Birchall, Smedts, Darley, Morris; M. Clarke, B. Harvey

Mids: Swan, Boyd, Ablett, Murphy, Wingard, Miles; Shiel, Stevens

Rucks: Sandilands, Leuenberger; Giles, Stephensen

Forwards: Franklin, Pavlich, Martin, Sidebottom, Cooyou, Saad, Hall; Kerridge, Dell'Olio

Rookies can, and probably will, change by round one, but as you can see I have a strong mid and ruck set up, but I'm light in defence and attack.  My question is is this a risky move, or should I downgrade one of my premium mids to someone like Lenny Hayes, or even Sloane as a unique, and use the money to bolster either my attack or defence?

Not bad, really well balanced with 4 prems in each position.  No risks which I do like occasionally.

yorgis

nice team , sit tight till rnd 1

I made a few changes.  Is this stronger, weaker or pretty much the same strength as before?

You really scrapped your rucks

Thorpy

Murphy>Hayes
Birchall>Suckling
Pavlich>Fyfe

Then do whatever you want with cash left!

Recent reports about Sandi scared me, lol.  Macca and Jacobs may not score as high, but they are the lone ruckman in both their sides, so they still should score well enough.  What do you think though, is that team better or worse than my original team?

Look at his new, but all the suggestions you gave at bad ones. Birchall is way better than Suckling, Murphy is was betterr than Hayes and Pavlich will kill Fyfe this year...

Thorpy

About the same if you want you could change mcenvoy to mumford. Mumford looks to have a great year as does jacobs thats a solid starting ruck and your bench in rucks is fine :)

meh your opinion i think hayes will score just as well as any of the high priced mids and suckling will score better then birchall and fyfe and pave could go either way!!

I don't think Hayes will ave 115 like Murphy. And Birchall will kill Suckling this year.

pretty good, no mpps in midfield?

rookies a bit weak for me, why no shiel could go miles->shiel
and not sure about morris and darley, feel like you just picked any rookies, dell'olio is a rookie (on essendons list) he may not get elevated and if he does gumby and prismall will only be on the long term injury list for 1 round

maybe downgrade birchall and use that cash to upgrade to guthrie perhaps

You don't need mpp in the mids.

its alot better to have them, gives security and opens up so many options, especially when there is 2 or more mpps in fwd and def
