Hargrave and Howard as a duo?

I can actually fit them both into my backline. Had Howard but have now dropped a rookie back and with a slight tweak can get Hargrave as well. Is this a disaster waiting to happen as they are both on the same team? Any thoughts on both lining up in the same team selection? I have been reading good things about both so I am thinking D4 and D5 with Goddard, Shaw, Hanley and Johncock. A bit of a POD lineup but you never know.

You could do both if you drop Johncock.

Make it a three-way and add Lake  ;)

Just noticed this on Hargrave's FF page (2010 mid-season review).
May be something to keep in mind...

Hargrave fools us twice

Ryan Hargrave, turning 29 in 2010, was never a great Dream Teamer since his debut in 2002, until 2009 when he lifted his average to 93.2 for the year. This stand-out year prompted many fantasy coaches to pick him up at the start of the 2010 season as the second most expensive defender. However, they were left with nothing but disappointment as he consistently topped the lists for price drops, averaging a dismal 66.1 points in the nine games he played in the first half of the season.

To further pile on the agony for coaches, Hargrave managed two 100 scores in the first half of the season, fooling even more coaches into picking him up as a bargain at a low of $292,000. He tricked fantasy coaches into thinking that his 2009 form had returned, only to disappoint them further with more lowly scores: none over 70, some as low as 9.

IMO Lake could be the 1st retirement of this season.

These guys look a lot better than a lot of other options in defence. Good prices, good form, and both have the round 11 bye. What more could you ask for?

Thanks Guys. They are in and Joncock out.
