my reason for this is to take advantage of 120+ scores that happen each week to boost your scores. Also backs and forwards are more inconsistant or tagged out.By setting your midfield early you can take advantage of this. And you can also take advantage of 2 extra players on your bench to shuffle for backs and forwards ....let me know what you think

jfitty

Definitely an interesting strategy. Have you made a team with 6 premiums in the midfield? I'd be keen to have a look at it if you have.

ZEDDOG

Need to see the team but I don't hold a lot of hope for you.
With best rookies in mids you miss out
You will start strong and possibly be overtaken quickly.
Where are your cash cows?
If you have mid bench shuffling backs and Feds as you say then they must be MPp.
Therefore you have no chance to have any of coniglio, shiel, McDonald, Magner , Gibson , Clifton etc etc

I  am in almost mindset thinking of 3 prem and 5 rooks

Red Dirtie

Were are your cash cows gonna come from?

Midfeild rookies are the bread and butter cash flow? but yeah could work for you!  :-\

Hmmm the weird thing is I counted all the averages I believe the players in your team will score (and giving a 70 for all rookies)... your team would average the same as mine... at least for the first few rounds, and I am going 3 prems and 3 rooks in the mids!  :P

Red Dirtie

Hmmm i think you will struggle, but hey stranger things have happened!

Backline and Forward line need major attention, were you pump out 110's and higher in the middle you will get alot more 70's and 80's in the rest of your feild!

Good luck bro, you never know man bit of luck  and it might be the ultimate way to go!

Wow look at that fwd line haha. Hey but good idea. The only problem is that if there is an players who go down heaps and are argain prices you can't cash in. Say Selwood goes down 100k, then you can't pick him up... so that's the only problem.

Thanks for the feed back just thinking of different strategy rather than a plain copy everybody else.....thanks

I would go 5 guns. Not many people are doing that then you can always be available for a bargain. Last year Ablett is a prime example. So cheap.

I dont think anyone is against the idea, but the issue will be picking the right fwd/def rookies to make sure they increases in price. You cant afford to get too many wrong, especially condsidering you are starting so many of them. I think it is a brave plan that with a bit of luck and good management could go really well. Bad luck will see you scoring the same as the rest of us over the first few weeks and then slowly getting further behind.

Im against the idea. Your defenders and forwards are very, very weak. You will be tearing your hair out just wondering if your players are going to get games let alone scorinng well. I give credit for the idea of trying to change things up a bit, but it simply wont work. 6 rookie defenders plus lake and 5 forward rookies plus porps just wont cut it. You will probably have a donut in both the defenders and forwards every week, meaning there is no point on having the prem mids because there are holes everywhere else ruining your scores. Go for a more balanced team (i know its boring), but it scores the best, and is the safest. Which is why everyone uses the balanced structure.

Doesnt work.  Initially you may score well but youll be left behind when others begin upgrading.  Little chance you could get a full team out there.  Youd be sideways trading in the byes too.

mate i saw lake as D3 and thought thats trouble right there. the back and forward rooks have at this stage done nothing. except for hall and maybe throw couch out there. but atm i have no real faith in any back rooks. maybe bugg thats about it. those two tiget cubs rook defenders have questionable JS

end of the day we can pick forwards who are playing in the guts this year as many have dpp. i don't know, i'm all for unique but you are simply wasting your money here. probably need swan anyway lol  NDS out for boyd imo as well.
