Lids + Rookie (100+60 = 160)
Grimes + Hargrave (90+80 = 170)

Grimes and Hargrave, just! And that's dependent on your rookie choice - Could get a freak 80+ rook, but then you'd assume you'd have them anyway.

*Personal estimates obviously - not guaranteed ;)

What if the rookie is Dyson Heppell and ave 80?

If you read my full post you'd see that I covered that  8)

Gezz I only read what I want to see lol. No wonder I am hated so much  :-[ lol

I've read a couple of posts that interest me. The thrust of the argument is that 'tis a rare rookie that can hold up all season long and pump out good scores. Immature body etc etc.

Nail a couple of 'bargain' mature guys (like Grimes / Porps / Brown and a few others) at under the odds and IF they fire you save trades, get points and can go, 'Yippee' really loudly.

alright that is true in a way

the way i see it though is if you go Lids + Rookie, you save a bit of cash also for maybe an upgrade somewhere else on the ground, and then at the end of the year you get Lids + Premium and maybe the extra points that you bought when you first made your team.

MC,

A couple of reference to you in 'rate my'. That's all.

You could always get a room!

Keep up the good work and remember, 'We* was robbed'

Haha yeah I noticed actually! Feels good to be appreciated though! Haha

Ah the hawkas, that was very stiff I must admit - and it was awkward watching it with 6 people who either a) loved Hawthorn or b) hated Collingwood!

Cant believe so many people are leaning towards the grimes/lake option. Lids is a consistant sc 100+ scorer and the rookie that goes with him only has to play so he can be upgraded. Grimes and lake have potential to have better combined score true.. But its still risky. Chances are they wont both fire or remain injury free. You would only put these 2 in your side if you plan on keeping them but if that means missing out on lids then I wouldnt do it

At the end of the day..
Lake/grimes= high risk
Lids/rook= no risk

Loving the argument on this one.

A lot depends upon your attitude to the round 13 bye.

I will have Goddard and Birchall already out, so will get Lids later (hopefully he won't go up a lot and may even drop a bit), use money otherwise spent on him to get more points say in forward line and avoid a donut.

That's the plan man.
