Fun League - Contribute players + start with MIRROR Teams!

Hi, because of my workmates I am focusing on supercoach this year, so I thought I would have some fun in DT.

These are the rules of the cookie cutters league:

At round 1 lockout, every team in the league has to be exactly the same, with the same 30 players. This league is all about trading skills. You can choose who is on the field and who is emergency in round 1. Once our mirrored teams finish round one, it is up to your strategic abilities to handle no only the regular season pitfalls but also trying to create some differentiation based on trades and captain selection alone.

Everyone gets to contribute one player as we build the team. The first 12 people to join the league also get picks 19-30 in the second round, probably the rookies as we run low on money. You can change any of your picks once or twice if it is practical before lockout.

Players may change to fit salary cap restrictions after most players selected, we can vote or I can make an executive decision.

Rules may change as league members post suggestions but team and rules must be finalised one week before lockout and the final team will be posted here and in the activity feed on DT.

It is up to the league members to be honest when settings their team up to make sure it is the same as everyone else.

You can choose to play this team in other leagues as it would be pretty competitive, and with everyone able to contribute players, it will hopefully be a pretty good team.

I t would suck if people just pick all expensive mids as their choices without taking into account team balance. As this is fanfooty, you are expected to use your hard earned strategic skills to help create a team with flow and balance. If you have two choices, best to pick a gun first then a rookie, or two mid-priced smokies.

You also have to have an attention span long enough to follow this thread or the activity feed (where I will post updates).

So just request the league code, tell me your team name and then post your first pick for the team!

It won't be easy as it takes most people an entire 2nd account to be able to do this, which is its own issue in and of itself.

thinking the same and putting the team in random instead cause this league wont work with only five people great idea though!

I posted this on bigfooty too, and there were 130 views but no nibbles. I think as we get closer to the lockout hopefully more people will be reading the forums looking for leagues to join.

I think even with less than 18 people, we can get this league going, it just means everyone gets to pick more players. If we can get up to 10 people I reckon that will be good enough.
