I have Goddard, Deledio and Shaw as my first 3 defenders, D5 is Lake at this stage. Who should I choose as D4 and why?

I can't split Fisher and Newman at the moment so convince me why I should choose one over the other!

I'm ok with getting a donut in my backline during round 13 so don't suggest a player from a different bye group, I am only asking you to choose one out of the two of them.

Cheers guys and gals..

I would pick Newman. Had him last year and he was great before getting injured, averaging over 100.

Such a clean user of the ball so always scores well in SC :)

Agreed that he does have an easier draw but defenders generally score better in losing teams than winning teams.

If you are coping your compulsory donut in Round 13 in Defence then Newman but if you wish to avoid a prem do nut look at Broughton or Hurn

Newman, classy user of the ball and rarely beaten. Fisher can have big games  but can also get taken out of it a little more than newman. Also unknown is exactly how fisher will be used under a new coach as he can play multiple roles.

cortez

we know where newman is playing. Midfield! get him in!!!

if you want to avoid the doughnut why not get Enright...Less of a risk...

Also is it worth getting Newman ahead of the 3 prems that he has (i have the same but ill have to drop one to get newman in)

What about Birchall or Suckling??
agreed

+1

I'd go Birchall.

The only concern is that St.Kilda (Fisher), Richmond (Newman) and Hawthorn (Birchall) have the bye round 13.

What about Enright or Broughton?
