Did you even read the article?
He will serve his ban in the NAB cup & will be free to play round one.

"Under a new AFL ruling both players will be able to serve their suspensions in the NAB Cup series and will be free to play in Round 1 of the home-and-away season."

Ever thought of having "Goodes suspended for 1 round of Nab cup?" or something useful rather than swearing at people?

Regardless of what number you put down people would still be complaining to you

cortez

i dont aporeciate you swearing!!!  Im curious about goodes tho. can he still win the brownlow since he was suspended in the nab?

No he can't win the brownlow anymore due to recieving over the usual 100 base points. It doesn't matter what time of the season or preseason it is.

I would say yes. Since the Brownlow is for the best and fairest from the season proper it doesn't matter if you get suspended during the nab cos that's not the real season ;)

http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Brownlow_Medal#Ineligibility

It quite clearly says preseason  :P
This is actually what is says
QuoteA player also remains eligible for the Brownlow Medal under the following circumstances:

    if he is suspended during the finals or pre-season;

Therefore he is still eligible :P

TheMailman

oops too good CF :P

It probably would of said if Goodes has ineligible anyway seeing as he'd be in the top 10 favourites

misread  ;D

CrowsFan

Yeah the article certainly would have pointed that out if he was ineligible. Good thing he isn't :)
