Just wondering what's wrong with Shiel, lot of teams I'm looking at don't have him. What's the reason or injury behind him not playing?

Rusty00

There was a report a week or so ago saying he was seen in a moon-boot (which was later confirimed as incorrect) as well as the fact he had his appendix taken out recently.

Not sure if either of these reasons have scared people off him, but barring any setbacks he's locked in my team  ;)

Thanks mate! Yeah still got him myself, hopefully gets a run in the coming weeks!

i have got him and if he doesnt play this weekend he should play the next.

personally i wont be picking any rookies that dont kill it in the nab. this is why im hoping shiel and horsley get some game time before round 1

you have to get Shiel even if he doesn't play any nab cup, but is selected for rd 1. He will kill it this year for GWS.

there was no date given when he had his appendix out, so surely you would need atleast 4 weeks to recover and then start training again. If we knew the date of the surgery we could probably get a better idea.I probably wont pick him for R1 now and get him later on

That could be risky - He could start playing in round 3. His price will then rise at the end of round 5.
You won't have any rookies that are ready to be cashed by then. So you either have to waste a trade, or (in the case that a rookie has been absolutely killing it and his price is ready to trade) lose a decent rookie for Shield.

Easier to just start him on the bench for the first couple rounds, if he even misses that.

It's all going to be OK.

Dr c4v3m4n say so.  ;D

depend on how long till he starts. If his 3rd round is R6-8 then he could be a down grade target. Wait and see

Do you wanna risk that?

to win it you have to pull the trigger on some rookies before they top out eg week 5-6 the quicker you upgrade the more chance you have

Spot on with previous post but for diff reason
If you seriously think that you will nail every rookie, then your either overly optimistic or far better than me.
My plan is to bring him in for my underperforming rook in about round 3
You will have about 4 rooks in mid to choose from anyway.

What if you don't have an underperforming mid rookie this year?
