match chat bans

i tried to chat on a match on friday but ff came up with a notice saying i was banned.
it was the first time i have tried to chat this year and i was never banned last year and cannot for the life of me think of what i might have done to incur the administrators wrath?
is this a usual occurance or blip in this system?
i emailed monty and got no reply.

Yeah I got banned last year and my account is still banned... I emailed monty twice last year and once this year :( lol. Just make a new account and don't say anything bad.

Same as me, logged in on the first nab cup game, apparently I've been banned. must have been from last year but I can't remember what I supposedly did. I read the rules about the chat and I must say some of them seem a bit harsh, maybe introducing temporary bans would be a good idea, especially since so much of it is up to interpretation. I thought about emailing the admin about it but thought I'd probably just be wasting both our time.

If any mods/admins are reading this......unban me please ! :-)

What happened to me was I was talking about 2012 dreamteam prospects and Monty said talk about the game not next year or something and then I was banned..........

Monty may have had his period that day? I started a new account last year after numerous emails to mOnty without response

Your not going to get a response... The amount of people who have emailed him would pile up. I've probably emailed 5 times or so...

The mods for the forums and chat are separate.  The rules are quite clear with regard to the chat.

Yeah, that happened to me... confusing and surprising! Especially since I had tried to say something like "I love Balla!" in the Freo/Ess game and thought maybe a mod had thought I had misspelt something dirty...

I'm having the same issues. I've emailed Monty quite a few times, I'm considering swallowing my pride and beg and cry for my rights lol. Some have suggested that you just need to create a new account. Will it be possible to delete this account and then make a new one with the same email address or will I just have to use a different email? I tried the first option, but can't seem to get it to work.
