a lot of people are going this guy this year.....im considering him but is he really going to average a good amount of points each game in a young team with brogan by his side?

Look at Smith. Smith averaged really well in a team that came last, with Fraser and Brogan. All at age 18. Now Giles is mature age, with the same situation. I reckon he can do it. And then some.

You look at Brogan, as much respect for him as I have he's not really up to the same standard as other rucks which is understandable due to his age etc.

Giles will get many games and probably won't hit a wall like Smith did

DT-SC

but smith is 23-ish now

He would be up to their standard if he was still at Port...

Smith was also mature BB :P

I can start Giles but I have 350k in the bank so it is too easy to turn him into Mummy before round 1.

TheMailman

Difference between 19 and 22 isn't all that much  :P

There should be no disputing how valuable Giles will be as a 3rd/4th ruckman. As a 2nd ruckman, well that could be another story..

True, could also be the difference between a top 500 finish and a 20,000+. If it comes off you are in the box seat. If not, it is a long road back...

If you make the mistake of having Giles as number 2 (so hegoes down in the first rd), it's not going to make you come 20,000 for it.

Damn I'm sick of ruck talk.

Teams look 'better' with Giles as number two. That's an easy one.

But how will it look if Giles/your number one ruck goes down and your two dodgy ruck back ups aren't playing.

Windigo

Don't think it means much coming from my friend....

He was at the game he said Orren has no tank?  ??? Said he "huffing & puffing" after like 5 minutes?  :P

The Big O looked good on the weekend. The commentators loved him.
