My heart tells me to start him as he'll deliver from the get go.
My head calls me an idiot as he is simply too expensive - grab someone 100k cheaper

gazza started at over 700k couple years back, started like a man on a mission and it would of been incredibily annoying and difficult trying to bring him in. i get the feeling pendles might do the same. we got free trades til lockout - start him??

If GOD, hodge, GAJ, JB, can average 130+, this guy can as well (did i miss anyone in the 130+ category, probably did!!!!)
i'm not starting with swanny either personally, mid season trade in after arizona i think.

its clearly a question of structure, but if you go for value elswhere you can fit him in.

wish i had a crystal ball - will he GUN it from the start and hold his value. would need to average 130+, obviously is quite capable.

Im not starting either. One will fall in value, and then just jump on.

but it'll be atleast 600k for pendles imo. they guy is just consistent as. thats alot of cash to use for trading and it can hurt you using too much cash down the track. injuries are inevitable as well so plans don't always go according to plan!!!

you can justify it by outscoring all your opponents that dont have him (in mis #1 position at least). and yeah i agree with previous comments he wont drop much or enough to consider him a bargain at ANY time just too giid and this year will be his best due to a little thing called "free agency"

just a top, look at players out of contract at the end of this season and look to them for the season of thier lives as they play for the big motivator "MONEY" - pay rise

Yes but I predict one will fall by 100k, and a trade is worth 100k. Its just your strategy.

You can't really justify it. There are a fair amount of midfield premiums who will score what he will score avalaible for a lesser price.

You don't ave to justify anything..... You pick the team that you think will help you achieve your goals being overall ran or league win...

+1 BUT i didnt pick pendles in SC due to cost, same as i didnt pick COX in DT due to cost, just too much extra..... worth it but at a huge pricetag....

questions is can you still get the same scoring out of your overall team with him as without him, that is the best excercise make two teams one he fits in and one he doesnt and work out which TEAM scores best.

yea i've been doing that, can't make my mind up thats why i posted it... to be honest i'm looking at pendles more so now as 3 prems and 5 rookies looks like a good move within the midfield. with 3 mid premos including pendles doesn't seem to weaken the rest of my structure. 'still got 5 rookies starting, only thing is 1 extra midpricer....  and cash left.

but what if he bangs out 130+ scores first 5 rounds? you'd hate not to have him, and scary thing is stats and gut says he is on the improve!!
