Wouldn't class Stevens as a small forward though. Lecras would have Hams and Weedon and at a stretch Strijk competing for his spot while Ebert has Masten, Swift and Stevens imo.

West coke had stated lecras would spend more time in the mids this year

West Coke Needles have also stated that Hams and Weedon are the front runners for Lecca's spot. Who is coming into the fwd line for Lecca moving into the middle then??

That's a good question. Not sure they had planned prior to his injury in regards to that?

Even as an Eagles fan i'm gonna have to say no thanks to Stevens.

The one point you made in your opening post ele which puts me off is the fact that the Eagles are a top 4 team.

We will be going all out to win the flag for the next couple of seasons before Cox, Embley and Glass retire so young players won't get as much time in our team as they might in a weaker team.

Now that Gaff has stepped ahead of Masten/Swift/Stevens (at least IMO he has) I expect one of those players to get the vest each game (whoever doesn't take Ebert's spot). Stevens may get a full game if Kerr is rested/misses games through injury also.

Hams would be my pick to take Lecca's spot. Apparently he is one of Woosha's favourites and also has a great work-rate. Weedon looked a little underdone in the NAB Cup - his forward pressure is not quite up to the standard demanded by Woosha imo.

I also think Masten will step up and take Ebert's spot. It's been a long time coming but last season I saw for the first time why the Eagles picked him up at #3 albeit briefly. He just needs to harden up a bit and he'll turn into a good midfielder.

Bak2Form

no for me, think id rather some of those GWS players that are looking good in the mids ;)

elephants

Yeah 100% agree with this Memph. I back in Masten to step up. Gaff is easy ahead of the others and despite the hype on Weedon, Hams has to be ahead at the moment.

The F.A.R.K.

masten will fail again should just trade him, gaff probs wont do as well as the others and i think weedon is ahead of hams

hahaha nah honestly i dont have a clue

elephants

As soon as I saw it was your post I realised you had no idea FARK ;)

The F.A.R.K.

fark not having a clue.....that couldnt be he is the smartest greatest guy i know

elephants

Haha nah pretty sure I was right the first time :P

Windigo

I think Stevens will find it hard to get a game with so much talent in the mids.

He'd be hoping old man Embley falls off the Pensioners bus on arrival at the ground.  :P

Justin Bieber

Yeah out of the two who voted high-likely, I was one.

So now I cancel my vote.

elephants

Hahaha sorry whatlez. It's poll official. No back votes :P
