Shaw - easier for bye structures and Lids has his hammy issue. Richmond also have horror draw 1st half of the season - upgrade after his bye.

Deledio.
The guys a gun, plain and simple. Running through the midfield more, not as many players in his team stealing his points and he's only 24 so his best years are still ahead of him (barring injury of course!).
Richmond may have a bad fixture for the first half of the season, but this man has proven that he can tear it up no matter who he plays.

Heath Shaw may be easier for bye structuring, but Deledio should certainly be picked before any others who share his bye, except for Goddard (and that's a close call IMO).

Until he did his hammy I would have said Lids. Interrupted preseasons are (usually) never good starters

Capper

wow alot of love for lids. I went shaw usually starts off the season well until he does something stupid. Lids also has an injury and a tough draw to start to the season

MC

Definitely Shaw - favourable bye and will average the same if not more than Lids.

It may suprise you but players can actually score well against good sides. wow isn't that amazing so players like lids and buddy might actually score well early. yes they might Honestly its flowering stupid that people aren't considering stars like this just because they have a couple of tough games early. ah shower Hawthorn should win the flag this year and collingwood play them first round. guess that rules out shaw, pendlebury and swan for me!!!

Pokerface

Wow, way to extrapolate - if given a 50/50 choice i tend to lean towards the easier draw. How did my quote rule Lids out?
The thing that IS ruling him out for me is that hamstring. Next time try reading what is written, not take it to the nth degree.

cortez

cant wait to see him  come out and average 110+ ill be laughing all the the top and youll be stranded in the hundreds of thousands ;-)

Shh. Stop giving everything away!
Shaw by a bit. I reckon that last year will spur him on to new heights.

Thanks lads,  but lets put it this way.

Deledio & McIntosh
or
Shaw & Kreuzer?

Cortez, let me ask, are you getting every gun in every position? No? Oh theres a salary cap. With the hamstring issues, I just think I'm better off using the money to sure up the extra gun somewhere else for now. If you are happy to take the risk he is fully recovered go for it.
My point remains, I never said you must not select due to his draw, which you somehow read into the post.

I would go Shaw and Kreuzer if this is what you are limited to (I've already outlined why I'm initially picking Shaw over Lids, and I think Kreuzer will outscore H-mac) - but I'd be more tempted to save on the defender and bump the ruck up to one of the prems

billnats

I already have Sandilands as a prem, so looking for a second ruckman atm.

Thanks for the advice. I'll wait to see Kreuz in the NAB i guess

It should be out of Kreuzer and West if you are looking for a midpricer. I reckon go West, he is cheaper and provides better value.
