Nice write up LE and you make some good points on why Shuey is someone worth considering for a successful fantasy team. Being a fellow eagles supporter I would love to fit him in my side as a 4th midfielder, however I'm having a tough time fitting him my team given that I have Priddis as my #3 midfielder and I've gone for a 3 gun, 3 rook approach at this stage. I really think that after Shuey's finals experience last year will give him the drive to improve this year and this will mean improved fantasy scores this season. 100-105+ in SC sounds about right this season IMO.

QuoteAre you joking? He won't even average 88, he's overrated.

As for this comment everyone is entitled to their opinions. But c'mon, at least if you say something back it up with evidence to support your opinion. LE has provided compelling evidence to suggest that Shuey will improve his output and not too many midfielders score a goal a game on average.

Is a lock for me in SC, but not too sure about DT. Definitely a good alternative to getting Barlow though.

The F.A.R.K.

i reckon 93 he isnt quite a 100 player yet he needs more consistecy but he has a high ceiling

Are you Joking? I didn't wreck your thread by shutting you down when you claimed Stanton would average 118... ::) Think before you type douche.
Heppell is over-rated. Walking around a half-back line wins you a rising star? Bullsh!t.
Watch out, these two might resort to fisticuffery soon :P.

Flame

Good write up LE but the only Eagles player I am interested in is big Coxy!

elephants

Yeah Phasir I will be doing other Eagles.

Hahah that's good Flame my next Eagles WAS Coxy!!

Thanks for all the positive feedback guys!!

I have since recieved and accepted an apology from Jukes via PM.

These are some pretty out-there rumours considering this...

http://au.news.yahoo.com/thewest/sport/a/-/eagles/10131788/shuey-reveals-why-he-wants-to-be-an-eagle-forever/

"West Coast is my home now, it's my life and I'm planning on spending the rest of my career here.

"I love the club and what they've been able to do for me shows not only do they want to be successful in football, but they want to be successful off-field and support us as much as they can.

"They've won me over and hopefully we can stick together and get some success in the next few years."

I am very confident the star will stay...

Great player and definitely one for the future, but one thing to note LE.

Injuries - Clutuching at straws here as personal loss, glandular fever and stress fractures in the foot are not exactly recurring injuries but still a point cans till be made here.
Well that's just not right at all. Stress fractures can easily come back (I should know I've had them recurring in my back for years), especially in a foot when he spends his whole time running. That is just weight compounding against his foot over and over. I wouldn't be the least bit surprised if his career is plagued by foot injuries (which would be a shame).

Must have read Chris Judd's memoirs...
Just what I heard.

Oh okay sorry mate. I have also had foot stress fractures about 4 years ago and have had no problems since then so I was basing it on that.
I should have done some proper research. Ooops thanks for the pickup mate.

Haha no worries, wasn't trying to make you sound stupid, reading back on what I said it kinda sounds like I was being deliberately mean. I'm guessing you don't do anywhere near as much running as what an elite athlete would do, which is why you may have never had problems again. Obviously it differs from person to person and it may have healed perfectly and will be fine the rest of his career, but then again it may not have. Let's hope it has healed correctly, but only time will tell :)

Memphistopheles

As an Eagles fan I really want to fit Shuey into my team this year as I also reckon he may average close to 100.

However, there just aren't enough midfield spots atm :(

I think he'll be a good pick-up but give it one more season before he's consistent enough for me to lock him in.

are you seriously calling the 19 year old Heppell over rated?
are you retarded?
and Stanton can average 118 - he averaged it in his last 10 games of 2011.
