Last year Matthew Bate booted 29 goals and lead the Casey Scorpions in marks. He has shown that he can play, but he needs to be given the opportunity under the new coach. His best season was in 2008, averaging 80 points. He finished the season with 26 disposals against Port Adelaide, along with four clearances and 3 score assists. May be a forward smokey depending on his impact during Pre-Season.

I thought he was a 300-350k midfielder! I will monitor him closely.... Great pick-up!!

Brown wasn't very convincing BUT it obviously weren't his conditions...

Yeah, also need to see how he goes against Collingwood next week too, hopefully they'll bring some more players back.
