Herald Sun will start with paywall soon - A premium model where subscribers will hve to pay in order to recieve premium content for NEws, SPort etc.

Based on this article im tipping SUperfooty will have live scores this year....

Supercoach scores are done by Champion Data, not HS.
I don't really see this happening, as it would be a massive job - there's lots of things that contribute to SC scores, and it would be difficult to keep a live update on every players score.
We're lucky if we get the quarter time score updates before the next quarter.

Also, as each match gets roughly 3300 points between everyone, no matter what the scores are during the match, they will change at the end to conform to this anyway (every players score is raised or lowered, someplayers may get a lower score, some get a higher score to accurately identify their contribution to the game etc etc)

+1 but they have done it before in either 2008 or 2009

but when they did do it in 08 or 09 it wasnt too accurate...scores will change alot between the last minute of the 4th and the end of the game...

It's better than having no scores at all. Even if they do normalize the scores after the siren, it's still good to get a rough idea and see how your players score relative to your opponents. The quarterly score updates on superfooty are still useful.

scores at 3qtr time is enough to judge what the final score is...even the 1/2 time score is a decent guide as the PNG kinda showed...

+2 Ossie - Went to the HS site to see summaries of Round 3 Cup games and if I want detailed summaries have to sign up for the 2 month free trial. Another visitor to their website and associated advertising lost. Age here we come.

Perhaps the HS thought that by getting us in to SC we may pay for privilege to see all this extra information!!!! Do not think SC Gold went that well so be interesting to see how this goes.

there using the ESPN model, all of those r littered with basic articles and teasers that require u to subscribe to "insider"

i suppose i cant really fault them for copying a global fantasy competition that is as successful as that...

i dont subscribe to that either but have a team ranked 29th overall out of millions so its not a necessity anyway... still a pity

HS is so greedy it's not funny.
There is something that IS funny though. Google can bypass their paywall.

dont you get updated scores on the supercoach app.
that'll do, accurate enough and updates fairly regularly....
