Set and forget ruck or extra forward prem?

Ok. I don't know which combo I should have.

My current forwards are: Franklin, Goodes, Pavlich, N.Riewoldt, Brown, Pfieffer, Hampton, Smedts, Walsh.

Rucks: Mumford, Giles, Stephenson, Redden.

I want to fit McEvoy in, but then, I don't know which forward rookie to get.

Any advice will be much appreciated.

I've got 4 prem mids, and my def is: Goddard, Birchall, Broughton, Heppell, Grimes, Ellis, Darley, Bugg, Morris.

Should I downgrade one of my defense instead of Pav? I'm not so keen on Heppell, but then, to upgrade Redden to McEvoy, I'll need to downgrade someone else.

Instead of M'cEvoy, how about Jacobs? About $50k cheaper I think.

I think there's more upside to McEvoy than Jacobs. A much better midfield to work with, and he can go forward to kick 15 goals in a season. But if someone can persuade me otherwise, then I'll obviously listen to them.

pav will outscore heppell have you thought about kruze in the rucks one of the articles in the Hun said he would be mainly in the ruck

well mate the R2 possie will be all the hype til round 1. end of the day, if you believe a rookie ruck can outscore the rookie you would have fielded if you didn't have the rookie ruck playing, then go for it? but your premo forward/back/or mid instead would need to be top notch imo.

if i were you and picking one premo ruck i'd probably want the best, he is expensive but i'd pick cox as the lone ruck - he is the best and nicnat won't stop him slutting it up at half back!!
or mummy mate, hasn't got the competition like goldy, leuy. look at mummy's stats last year!!!  bloody hell he had like 40+ hitouts a game just about. also tackled and gets some clearances. mcevoy is a good option too, but his ruck work limits him imo as the rulling of points allocated changed here. but his around the ground stuff is good and a great contested mark.

oh and you can't go wrong picking pav mate that is pretty much certain! apparently fit as, CHF kicks goals from anywhere and an AWSOME mark!

Thanks Torress!! That's a huge help! I think on your comments alone, I am gonna stick with Pav and Giles.

But one last question- I'm not completely sold on Heppell. I have $14,800 in the bank. Should I stick with Heppell or go with someone else? The only problem is, I don't really like many of the other mid priced defenders. Any advice is appreciated.
