Sydney Team for NAB round 1 Vs Geelong and Saints.

Looking forward to seeing how Morton and Walsh go. Also Campbell Heath, who I would like to see made a rookie upgrade this season sometime after coming off his knee surgery.
With 34 guys named to play over the two games, it makes some interesting reading of the players not involved this week are

Dan Hannebery
Tom Mitchell
Trent Dennis Lane
Tony Armstrong
Matt Spangher
Lewis Roberts-Thompson
Alex Brown
Jack Lynch (Rookie)
Eugine Kruger (Rookie)

Well no suprises there with the inclusions and exclusions, mainly just minor injuries.

Bit disappointed that Kruger isn't in, he must be pretty low on the rookie pecking order.

SydneyRox

When you spoke to him the other day, did he feel like he was getting close to a game?

Unless he was also holding an injury?

I saw rookie McNeil has been named to play. Any word on how he has been going? Been on the list 2 years but hasn't played a game yet, but surely they see something if they are keeping him around?

SydneyRox

I used to read all the times how Roos rated him, but he never got a game. He is quite often in the best players for the twos, but hasnt been elevated to the main list yet.
All reports from the early pre season had him running PB's and training the house down, havent seen anything of him lately. Part of the problem might lie in his type, he is an in and under midfielder, of which we have a few, both playing and trying to break into the main team.
I still think it is more likely Campbell Heath will be the first to get a run from the rookies, but lets hope they can both shine in the NAB and give Horse some headaches

He said he would be very lucky to get a game but I don't know if he was just saying that or if he was injured?
