Tyes

Only second year of dream team and I'm hooked! I'm no dream team wizard and I was pretty cruddy last year, so I hope this looks alright. Rooks will most likely change before round 1. I know byes will hurt but I'm not to fussed about them.

Tyes:

I don't bother with a rating system as I don't believe it really is that relevant.

BACKS:

Straight off the bat I'm drawn to the fact you have Gilbert. You sure about him? I'd be very skeptical in picking him as your 4th back. Check his NAB before really drawing any conclusions. Apart from him you backs are all pretty decent. Still would like to see another "Ultra" premium in there. Heppell is a safe pick, but I don't expect HUGE improvement in 6 months....But he is a star in the making.  ;)

MIDS:

No Shiel? His a pretty common to player as 6th mid. But I haven't seen him play yet. So I cannot really say much either way. Solid mids. No complaints there. Maybe relegate Stevens to bench. Watch Kavanagh. Maybe switch with Shiel if he tears up.....

Rucks:

Stock standard. Apart from H-Mac. Watch him in a full game with Goldy. Just to get an idea of what his role will be. But his not a bad option. If you don't want a full premium or Giles as number two.

Forwards:

2 guns. 2 potential guns & Browny. Pretty uncommon to see Christo & Brown in the same squad, could pay off for you! Don't be let down by Zaha's scores on the weekend. Just keep monitoring him!

Overall:

Nice solid team here mate. My preference is 4 gun mids. But Hayes has proven himself in the past. I don't like the Gilbert inclusion. But nice team.  8)

BACKS:

Very solid top 3! No Deledio though? The inclusion of Malceski & Lake is an interesting ploy. Eski is a great scorer when on song but the injuries are a MAJOR worry. Too much of a risk IMO to have him. Lake is cheap enough to have a punt on I reckon. The rest of the back line is fairly solid. Not totally sold on Spurr as of yet. Need's a full game.

MIDS:

Great 4 guns. Well thought out. I'm loving the Mitchell selection. You can lock him in for a ton every week and he'll never let you down! Isn't Zorko injured? I'd really see if he plays on the weekend. If not, I'd bail. All good! Selwood is way undervalued IMO.

RUCKS:

Very strong. I see you haven't been sucked into putting Giles as number 2. Good work. But if Giles tears up more game. You have to consider. But I like the 'set & forget' option. Mumford is set for a huge season and coupled with Berger. That's dominance!

Forwards:

At first glance your FWDs seems a bit week. But you've gone with two ultra guns and you've picked wisely with Christo, personally I'm not a fan. But I still see him going places. Brown_Dog is a common pick that really is a no brainer. I'm not 100% convinced on Saad. Only 64 dream teams in VFL last year.

Overall:

An excellent side with a couple of relative uniques. Namely Mitchell. However, do you really think Eski is set for 22 games this year.

Tyes

Thanks heaps Windigo! Yeah I know Gilbert's a bit of a risk, I'll see how he fits into the saints post Lyon in the Nab, if he fails to impress I'll most likely downgrade to Conca or someone similar, or maybe fiddle around and get another super premium in the backs. About shiels, I heard he was seen in a moonboot during the Giants game last week? Could just be a rumor. Also watching a few others like Gibson and the like closely.
Thank you heaps for your words of wisdom and time :)

You are saying that to the unique/smoky king!!! Haha just PM him :p

Shaddy94:

BACKS:

Hm. You've gone very risky having 3 of the 'dodgy, but could pay off big time players." I'd really take only two of them. I'd rather Lake & Grimes. But it's risky, but it can pay off! Sammy Fisher as number two back leaves you a bit light on in the back line. Use the 66 K and get some strength into the backline. Maybe not strength, but some peace of mind.  :P

MIDS:

3 of the best midfielders with an old champ. Not bad. Your obviously hoping Pendles outscores or matches Swan? Dunno about Gaffy as number 5. Either get him to 4 with two rookies or downgrade. Unless he really rips NAB to shreds I'd be cautious. But the correct midpricers will win this year competition IMO!

RUCKS:

Big Cox is still the best ruck in the comp. No worries with having him, except the hefty price tag. A little too hefty IMO. Rucks sound though.

FORWARDS:

Bit light here. 2 guns & one soon to be. Then 3 midpricers. Hm, I dunno about that. I'd keep Christo & Brown and either upgrade Winder or downgrade maybe Cox and get another gun if you can. Who is this Growden? I've never heard of him? Watch Weedon, don't be influenced too much by his (pretty impressive) NAB game. Monitor.

OVERALL:

I think it's a good team, but I think your over indulging in mid-pricers. I'd look to get upgrade a couple to a few guns. Coxy & Stevie J are very pricey. They deliver, but there are a gluttony of options that could potentially score around the same.  ;)
