After Giles' recent success in the nab cup i've decided to start him on the field, as have a lot of other people. The only problem with this is that i'll have to get 3 ruck rookies and i'm not sure of the quality of the other ruck rookies apart from giles and stephenson. The only options for a R4 position so far are witts, derickx (however you spell it) and rowe. How much better or worse are these ruck rookies in comparison to a fwd/def or mid rookies?

Rowe for me as he is likely to play and is cheeeeeep.

you can add redden (port) and jenkins (adel) to your list, see how they go in the nab and compre them with the other options

Jukes

I got Rowe atm but could go to Jenkins or Derickx. Like Derickx because he came from my WAFL club.

Yeah not sure if its worth going in with a no-hoper 85k player as 4th ruck to save cash then just upgrading one of Giles/O during the byes to avoid a 0. If not, hopefully one of Derickx, Redden, Jenkins, Rowe, Witts or ANY other rookie ruck puts a good show on in NAB and gets a gig in round 1 and other early games.

Derickx is getting groomed for a forward role. I'd definitely consider.

Hm, I heard it from somewhere. I haven't made it up.

I'll try and find something to back it up.  :P

"And his movement enables him to go forward and be effective as a lead up forward."

He played deep in the NAB didn't he?

Also, Full Forward is where he is most comfortable. He played their pre-dominantly in lower levels.

Thanks again. I'm not sure if he played forward during the nab as i couldn't watch the game as i don't have foxtel.

Derickx played a bit in the forwards in the nab cup. That's why he's my 4th ruck.
