FWD VS MID PREMIUMS

Would you rather have a stacked midfield of premiums and have cheaper options in the FWD line or a stacked FWD line of premiums and cheaper options in the midfield?

Alternatively would you have a good mix in  both the FWD and MID....

stacked forward, your midfield rookies will score better and make more/ faster cash than the fwds.

I was considering a 6 premium forward line but ended up dropping one becuase I wasn't confident that all the guys I had would end up in the top 10 by seasons end. Maybe I just need to man up...

if u stack anywhere it has to be the mids, prem mids outscore any other possie. rookies in all positions pretty much score the same, look at last year for example, dont get caught up in the midfield rookie hype

I like to balance out my team usually 5/4/5 structure.... Allows for 2 upgrades in each possie to get the best premos.... If you stack 1 line then u may miss out on someone who's having a blinder of a year...

My 5 mids will absolutely smash your 5 fwd premiums. And judging by last years rookie efforts my Mid/fwd rookie's in my forward line will easily equal your mid rookie output. But we are competing against eachother so by all means stack your forward line's.

Midfield I'm considering having gazza captain. and 3 dpp forward/mid guns  - and 4 mid only rookeis.
forward line to have buddy and 2 dpp guns and browndawg, and some dpp m/f rooks. and maybe porpz or something

as i've been going elite mids prior to giving this a look in, i've been able to bring in an extra premo back from a rookie and swap derrikkx for leuy! most of the trading would be for mid prems. 6 rookies starting unless i go porpz and 5 rooks.

but what to load up on? mid or forward guns? obviously mid prems are better than forward prems - generally speaking! as long as you have the right rooks and your guns don't let you down  :-X  ;D

My midfield and forwards are both pretty stacked- got 5 premiums (Buddy, Beamsy, Martin, ZackaRacka and Sidebottom) and Jonno Brown who will quickly go premium up forward, then 4 super-premiums in the mids in Swanny, Ablett, Boyd and Selwood.

I'd say to stack both, stuff defenders plenty of good youth there. Might even downgrade Lids to Grimes so I can afford to go  forward rookie to Winderlich.

not sure i'd call sidebottom, beams or zaha prems at this stage of their careers. prems to me av over 100 and i cant see sidebttom and beams doing that in a side that has swan/pendle/shaw who all pump out the big points. and zaha will get more attention now that he has won a b&f. if anything they are all consistant ill give em that, better off loading up the gun mids IMO

Only 3 premo forwards to choose from if you believe that they need to ave 100 to call a premo...

There is no truly definative answer to your question, it all depends on the players available in each position, your structures, future trading plans (upgrade/downgrade targets) and the big one......LUCK

But having said all that, l personally like to try and have a good balance

I'd say premium forwards have to be 425k and above.

Another way to think about it is 'Will I need to upgrade player X before season's end'? This is less subjective than arguing about what the dollar value is for the cut-off for a premium.
