Who instead of scotland?

I had the deadly combo of Goddard, Scotland and Lids down back with Shaw, but I cant help but think carrying 3 premos in a bye could hurt, specially if picking dustin martin etc elsewhere. So who should I get instead? Best back and opinions!

yep the backline premium choice is a tough one this year id say adcock or broughton

Yeah thinking adcock, broughton or one of the hawks. Saves me some money so may help in getting a porps up to a johno brown or someone too. Hopefully the nab cup and challenge will help us all out a bit!

IMO the back premiums are so inconsistent and doubtful that I am just going 3 + 1 mid pricer.

hawks have the bye to in the same round as saints tigers and blues lol so forget the hawks players

Oh god. I clearly havent put enough thought into my team yet! 87th overall last year but this year looks tough!

doubting that broughton will play mid due to the fact that all their midfielders injured last year are returning...also balla has somewhat been given the nod above broughton (and duffs for that matter) to play middy...

I know he shares the main defenders bye, but after round 13, has anyone considered Newman?
He was going pretty decent (for a defender) last year until he got injured (the round after i brought him in >:()

He may even get some midfield time this year - he's done some training for a midfield role over the pre-season.

Newman is a great pick, he is a SC gun. Doubt he will play mids with the return of lids to the mids this year. But he doesnt need to play mids to score well, he delivers so well out of defense and sets up alot for richmond. He is also deceptively fast.

You can still have your deadly combo. Everybody will cop at least 2 donuts during the byes due to the MPP ruck situation this year so by the time round 13 swings by if you only have 3 players from the round 13 byes in your backs and 2 or less in the other positions you will be right.

Pretty surs he played mid on the weekend and has been training with the mids in the preseason.
