i can see the upside to midpriced players but arnt people going a little bit over board this year. im seeing as much as 4/5 each team.... ill be honest i have 15 premos, clarke and the rest rookies so im a little byest but wouldnt you think that a premo, a rookie and the 70k you save to be spent elsewere would be better then say Brown and Grimes......

picker_man

surely its a half decent topic so someone flowering reply haha

I agree with you. My mid pricers are Dangerfield and Hargrave, I think 2 or 3 allows a point of difference and if it pays off you will be in the top 1000 instead of top 15,000.

If you saw my team for sc you'd probably laugh in superiority. Got so many risks. That's what can get you the car/50k though.

I also ask this, how much flexibility does 15/7 give you? I'd rather have midpricers, at least if one fails you can go one up one down. All you can really do is sideways.

only this morning have i changed my team to have 15/7 setup. it looks great but i'm loosing out on the unique mid pricers.
i'm worried about starting 7 rookies, but surely the guns make up for that extra rook.

I have two (hopefully fairly unique) midpricers, purely as points of difference. Although they are D5 and F5, so there is less risk than going all out midpricers

Zombie2.5

yeah i had 4 (one in each line) then upgraded one and think i might downgrade another

I have on mid-pricer. Had 6 at one stage (Hargrave, Conca, Howard, Grimes, Brown, Dangerfield) but now I only have Conca of that lot hahaha.

Crows84

i have gone 12 premos and 5 mid pricers, (1 back, 1 mid, 1 ruck and 2 fwds) I see that if they all perform and hold their respective spots in the teams that i hope for them to score more consistant than some first years players. its a big if though but i dont mind taking some risks

PowerBug

I created a similar thread in the Players and Trades section, but thinking about it probably should've out it here ;D

I am not going with many mid-pricers, only 1 max in the backs/mids/fwds and none in the rucks.

I vowed to never go mid pricers again but find myself with 5 of them! Plus 2 top end rookie price players. In my league it normally gets me to somewhere between 6th and 10th in a very competitive league so probably shouldn't go there again but I just see so much value in Grimes, Waters and a few that shall remain nameless. I genuinely think these 2 in particluar will end up top 8 in there position. Doing a not quite best case senario but somewhere near it my hypathetical averages from my initial squad gets me around the 2100 mark. Obviously though that is with improvement from all the mid price boys which obviously looks possiblle in March but not probable come September!

Grannyboy

At least if you don't pick up the right ones they are easier to upgrade or downgrade as a source of cash for that gun rook you may have missed. More than 3-4 does seem a bit risky though.

2 mid-pricers looking at bringing in Hargrave along-side Conca and Dangerfield.
