I didn't get to see Essendon's games and I know this guy is still rookie listed but there seemed to be significant talk about him.

One thing for sure is that Rookie forwards are probably the least settled positions for 2012 so I was wondering what people made of his performance acknowledging of course it is round 1 of the NAB Cup.

I thought he looked pretty mature and sure of himself.  I'd be surprised if Essendon don't promote him from the rookie list if he plays well in the next NAB game.  The only other crumbing forward at Essendon that I can think of is Alwyn Davey, so the competition for that spot is not great. My guess is that if they do promote him he'll get early games so I've tentatively placed him on my forward bench, along with Skinner from the Dogs.

I think the problem with this guy is that Jetta and Davey are their main small forwards although they're nothing special tbh.
I personally think and it wasn't highlighted in that game that Brendan Lee will be promoted at some stage due to their lack of midfield depth.

Does anyone know if they have a spot available to promote?

yeah they will have 2 actually with prismall and gumbleton out for a fair while.

and i also heard lee was first to be elevated

Well those 2 should be upgraded just looking at the prospectus.
I liked the look of both of them as well. Dell'olio's scoring looks limited though and I will be watching Lee closely.
We are spoilt this year for midfield rookies hard to go wrong :)

because he only played one game, and was a sub for that, yet still put up 25 dt points (no idea how many SC)?

Has he even done enough to be rated good or bad?
I thought he had a bit of a presence up forward..
I don't think he will score well fantasy wise but not sure how that equates to the spoon for the bummers?

At $96k in SC he only needs to play 4 games early to justify his spot. Might be a round 1 decision but will keep an eye onhis next NAB Cup game.
