Another one that came out of nowhere for me was Cooyou, l though his skills were sublime .....looked like one of those kids that grow up living and breathing footy
I agree. Whether or not he becomes a fantasy football gun, he's a bloody good footballer.

+2

some of the stuff he did were pretty surprising.

yeah i agree a natural footballer at the age of 5, made some inexperienced decisions and needs like every rookie to get senior games before he will be a player, but running back with the flight of the ball like that and taking a comfortable mark, and just being in the right places, you can't train that thats all natural baby, he will be another freak of the game in 2 to 3...

Lewis Stevensen west coast, starred in the wafl, didnt get a run in the afl and probably wont this year either but liked the way he played and its a pity for him he is at west coast because he'll go another few years without breaking into their midfield either.
Not if we dump A Selwood.(that should be trade)
Neale, Wilson and Stevensen really impressed me on Sunday. Dont think Weedon will have the endurance in a full match (hope i'm wrong).Skinner impessed but will have little ball up FWD during the season. Yagmoor looked good but no JS. Most impressed with how much better than what i thought GWS was going to be. Have to watch the replay again but  number either 24 or 34 looked good. Think it was D Smith but he didnt put up good DT numbers.Darley Cameron Cooyoo all showed good signs.

Must admit that l didnt really expect alot from Cameron due to him being a rookie KPP, but he really impressed me. l'm not sure how well he will score if played solely as a fwd, but was heartened to see that he spent some time in defence, and looked good there too.

Another player that caught my eye was Blayne Wilson but l dont know alot about him, if any of you eagles fans can shed a bit of light please do tell

Cicjose

Blayne Wilson:

Wilson is a medium-sized defender with excellent disposal by either hand or foot. In 2008 he represented Western Australia at the NAB AFL Under-16 Championships, averaging 11 disposals, three marks, and three rebound 50’s.

In 2009 he played in each of Western Australia’s five matches at the NAB AFL Under-18 Championships and was rated as its best by his coaches. His disposal efficiency rate of 88% was elite and the highest of any player in the Under-18 All-Australian team where he was selected at full back.

At WAFL level he played 12 matches for Peel Thunder Colts, averaging 17 disposals per match. He made his league debut in Round 16, he played 4 matches and averaged 13 disposals and four marks per game. AFL Prospectus

Strong, dashing, marking half-back who was an All-Australian U18 in 2009 and who’s played senior footy with Peel. Has an appealing hint of aggression. Seems suited to only one position, but he does it well. Paul Daffey

Strong-marking medium defender who reads the game very well across half-back and uses the ball effectively. Earned All-Australian honours in 2009 and was consistent for WA at under-18 level this year, averaging 18 disposals at 78 per cent efficiency and five marks. Kevin Sheehan

In his own words:

What type of player are you?
A strong marking defender who can also generate run from behind.

Which AFL player do you feel you resemble, and why?
Brian Lake, because I feel I read the play like he does and can take defensive marks.

What are your strengths as a footballer?
Reading of the play, kicking skills, marking skills

What parts of your game would you like to improve?
My tackling pressure, speed and endurance.

Which AFL team do you support and how did you come to barrack for them?
Fremantle because I have just grown up going for them.

Who has been the biggest influence on your career so far, and why?
Dad has always been there helping, giving me advice and pushing me on.
