Can anyone give me any updates on the big goldy.  Looked the goods all last season and seemed to have a semi-quiet outing during the NAB cup.  Is it because H-Mac is back?  Will it be too crowded with Goldy, H Mac and Petrie?

Any info will be appreciated.

Windigo

Too early to make any assumptions.

Slap

Not making assumptions at all.

Just wondering whether anyone has heard about the big fella.  I haven't heard anything yet - but I'm going on the ole saying "no news is good news".

Windigo

Wait for a full game of NAB.

I think Petrie will play predominately forward.

With H_Mac & Goldy sharing ruck duties. Roo's kept Hamish for a reason. Would be pretty stupid to just waste him in the VFL.

agreed.  It will be interesting how his body holds up though.  I think the Roos will be the improvers this year.

slap i havent heard any news about goldy. All the talk has been about Hmac. Im pretty sure nothing much has changed so there is no news. With all the ruck options this year i dont think there is any need to consider playing goldy this year, especially considering he has the round 11 bye.

nostradamus

l think with the return of Hmac that Goldy's scores will suffer, which is a shame after such a great season last year. But geez hasnt Hmac looked good so far.....can only be a good thing for the Roos. Goldy/Hmac = great ruck combo

take goldy and h-mac if there going to take points of each other atleast you will still get them :P

Nah, not for me...if l were to take one l'd go with Hmac with a view to upgrading him later.

l can't see the point in getting Goldy if he's gunna lose value and have a lower output than last year

Wouldn't take either but the argument for taking them is cox and natanui. Only porb is goldy won't read it as well as cox (yet) and h Mac can't follow up contests like nicnat

Capper

havent heard any news but with hmac back i dont think he will score like he did last year

Windigo

Mac slayed 80 a game when they both played in the same team a few years back.

Course Hamish was number one then.  :P
