Agree 100% with you LE. Giles will be a good 3rd ruck. But he won't score that well against Cox and NicNat or Sandi.

He might go alright against the good rucks if he does everything else right like smith did. I mean he might still come out of a game against west coast with a decent fantasy score even tho cox smashed him in the ruck there is a lot more as we all know to scoring than a hitout +1 only.

I am agreeing with fark giles is a good #2 instead of any other rookie, or probably any other mid priced ruck.

But I am agreeing with LE that he won't compare to a $2 premium ruck and by a fair way, but nor did smith really 20 points is a fair way....

Good prospect tho and if in 7-10 rounds you can downgrade a rook and and use just that money and what giles has gone up to trade him to a premium well you be happy i guess, but you still lost at least 20 points a game until you trade him on teams with dual premium rucks,

so make sure the money you save is earning you those 20 points minimum somewhere else on your team where your dual ruck opponents are NOT making it.

the argument between a starting rookie ruck or not is irrelevant the only thing that matters is the team on your fields points against the team on everyone elses fields points...... where you spend the money to make the points may or may not matter.

I've had him locked as second ruck all year and tonight he reinforced my confidence in him. Reckon he could push for a 75 average, saving me 400k then a premo for only 20 points less. Gotta love these GWS players.
