when your talking the elite premiums you can't go wrong by much.. really and im liking the captains in gaj and swan the discount on selwood makes sense but the draw of thomo does too.  rocky will just smash it again boyd mitchell murphy will continue to be elite, pendels is pendles and the rest..... as i said whatever, whoever you pick of the premium elites you cant go wrong whatever your reasons, i agree with you all for that reason :)

Jukes

My midfield was flawless in Swan, Ablett, Rockliff and Selwood. Why'd you have to go and ruin it Boydy?!?!?!

If he can back it up over the course of the pre-season he might find a spot with Stevie J being downgraded.

Holz

after having guys like JZ, barlow and gibbs in my team i have gone stuff it lets go premium.

Ablett,Swan, Selwood,Boyd i will be expecting close to 600 from them each week.

+ 1 but now i am second guessing swan

Colliwobblers

don't second guess Swan

he doesnt take this seriously at all, he was on his laptoip watching a movie between games, he did not even know whether or not they won the first game, he expressed his displeasure that he was called on to play this round, and "hopes he will get his rest in the later games".

The body of Swanny was out there but the mind was not. He will be tuned in come round 1.

No it's easier to start with Selwood who will improve on his last years avg and he is cheaper.
Where was all this talk yesterday about Boyd being locked i havent seen much of that around here all pre season. Funny what one nab cup game can do to remind people that Boyd has been one of the best dt scorers for years.
If Rockliff comes out and scores 100+ everyone will forget about Boyd again. We all know what Boyd is capable of, i have already picked my midfield based on lot's of factors. One great nab cup from Boyd or Mitchell wont be changing that. Boyd is an upgrade target because someone has to be.

What does that even mean?!? Isn't easier to start Round 1 with the 3rd best mid and a solid pre-season to boot!? Why not make Swan, Rockliff and Selwood upgrade targets, because you get what you pay for with Boyd + Consistency.

I dont know why you would want to upgrade to Selwood when he is under priced right now. Your better off getting the cheaper player before he reaches peak. Boyd will not be more expensive then he is now.

JamSainter

I still reckon Boyd is more durable, (less likely to get injured), and why not pay the extra 20K for a premium who is as consistent as ever (won't get tagged, because Cooney and Griffen will be). Boyd will average more than Selwood so IMO that is enough reasoning to pick Boyd over Selwood.

Hahahahaha Swanny is an idiot :P

yorgis

i've got swan, gaj, thommo and jelwood. every year boyd is in my side but he's a little steeper in price this year,

so he'll have to be an upgradefor me. gee it would be nice to start with all 5 [ 700-800 points from 5 players[inc capt]

every week] sorta set and forget hmmmmmm!!!

nostradamus

ablett, thommo and selwood are locks for me, all underpriced and will gun it.....after that, well thats where the conundrum begins. There are legitimate arguements for swan, pendles, boyd, rocky and murphy

but l think out of the last 5 mentioned, purely on money terms that swan and pendles are the best ones to leave out and upgrade to later

Torpedo10

I'll probably have Boyd in my DT, just a question if he ranks over the Selwood, Rockliff, Murphy etc. I'm not sure.  :-\

Did you see that interview with pickers at the end of the game.....?

Pickers "you see what i'm dealing with here?"   LOL

I don't know where Swannys head was at but it wasn't in western Sydney.

He got dumped from the leadership group which had me thinking last night, is he takiing it too easy? is he really taking not giving a shower too far? ....

Memphistopheles

For me Boyd is a better pointscoring option than Rockliff and Thompson although a bit more expensive.

I have locked him in to gain a few more points over the opening rounds as he has a very easy draw.
